CTPD – SDRF Research Circle organised A Faculty Development Program on “ETHNOGRAPHY: ORIGIN AND ADAPTATION OF THE METHOD” on March 31, 2024, online mode. It was the 12th session summarizing the Ethnography: Origin and Adaptation of the Method.
The Guest speaker Prof. Gopal Krishna Thakur, President of SDRF, India, addressed the audience with his inaugural talk, to welcome our guest speaker and to mark the formal beginning of the session. Expert Speaker, Dr. Harpreet Kaur Jass, who graced the occasion, has been teaching at the Department of Educational Studies, Faculty of Education, Jamia Millia Islamia for the last seventeen years. Her doctoral work was ethnography at Sri Aurobindo Ashram Pondicherry and Auroville which studied the faith-based model of integral human development followed at the schools, thereby teaching the English language to the Muslim girls at the doctoral level.
The session provided insight and in-depth discussion on the introduction to Ethnography, its history of the discipline, culture, fields, observations, and exclusivefield notes. Theoretical framework, case studies, and final tips and takeaways were also focussed by the speaker. Towards the end of the session, Dr. Kaur spoke about consistent presence, strengthening relations with cases, refining the data collection, expanding the research, time management, aiming for a professional approach, and finally receiving and providing positive feedback that would bring a change in life with desirable solutions.
The session inputs and viewpoints shared by Dr. Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary, President of CTPD, Program Director of SDRF, and Prof. Tania Gupta, Secretary General, of CTPD, added great rewards to the participants.
An interesting Q & A session gives a simple way to empower the participants by encouraging them to speak up on the webinar topic. As rightly said - the program organized by CTPD in collaboration with SDRF, is always a new beginning for all our valued participants who are eagerly waiting for their growth in the field of quality research. No doubt, Ethnography means “the portrait of people”Dr. Shweta Rani, Program Director of the Research Circle, proposed the vote of thanks urging the researchers, CTPD's vibrant members, active participants, and fellow Associate Program Directors Dr. Akanksha Srivastava and Ms. Jenifer Robinson, to be ethnographers in all circumstances.

Saraswati College of Professional Studies organized a National Annual E-Conference in collaboration with CTPD India, SDRF India, and CTEF India on 21st and 22nd March 2024.
Highlights:
More than 200 participants attended the conference from 28 states of India.
41 Research scholars and Faculty Members from 20 states presented their papers over the course of two days.
The event featured 18 Guest Speakers, Keynote Speakers, Chairs, and Co-Chairs from 8 States who shared insights on "Fostering Excellence in Higher Education."
A total of 8 sessions were held during the conference, spanning 16 hours of programming across the two days.
The success of this event owes much to the cooperation of all participants and organizers. Thank you for making this endeavor possible.
