“Dipped in hues of love and trust has come the festival of Holi.”
Holi, the festival of colours celebrates the arrival of spring, the end of winter, the blossoming of love and it is a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive.
Holi celebrations start on the night before Holi with Holika Dahan, where people perform rituals in front of a bonfire, praying for their inner evil to be destroyed, just as Holika was killed in fire.
The carnival of colours begins the next morning, where people play with colours, and drench each other in coloured water through water guns or balloons.
The school celebrated Holi by engaging students in understanding the significance of the festival and participating in different colourful activities.
De Indian Public School wishes you and your family a safe and happy Holi !!
