Semi-colon Sisters Participant Interest Form
About the Group:
Semi-colon Sisters is a 12-week support group exclusively for women. This transformative group is designed to provide a safe space that supports women who have experienced sexual abuse exploration of feelings of guilt, shame, anger, and powerlessness. Together, we'll embark on a journey of self-discovery, moving beyond critical and abusive cognitions to cultivate the best version of you. The Semi-Colon Sisters is based on cognitive and behavioral therapy. This group will help you: Learn coping skills that promote emotional healing, healthy habits, and the pursuit of a meaningful life without limits. Discover something new about you.

• Understanding It Was Not Your Fault
• Grief and Loss

Eligibility Criteria:
• Exclusive to women
• Self-reports of being a victim of force or the threat of force to obtain sexual contact
• Engaged in individual therapy
• Participants must be at least 25 years of age or older
A brief and free consultation is required to determine if the group will meet your needs.
Commitment:
Upon acceptance to the group, participants agree to attend each session for the full 12-week cycle.
Insurance/Fees:
• Sliding scale available
• Full rate per session: $70
• Some insurance is accepted
• Superbills available for reimbursement
Logistics:
• Group meets every Thursday, 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm, starting April 30, 2024
• All sessions are held via Zoom with video cameras on
• Participants must have access to a private and quiet space for sessions to maintain privacy and confidentiality

Cultivating Courage is a 12-week support group exclusively for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) women. This transformative group is designed to provide a safe and supportive space for exploring and engaging with your unique identity as an adult child of a toxic mother. Together, we'll embark on a journey of self-discovery, moving beyond critical and abusive cognitions to embrace your true self.
What We'll Explore:
• Identity development
• Racism, ancestral trauma, & cultural healing practices
• Spirituality and impacts of religious trauma
• Challenges of relational and family dynamics
• Self-esteem and self-worth
• Impacts of mental wellness and disability
• Replacing anger and depression with security and confidence
• Creating healthy villages
Eligibility Criteria:
• Exclusive to BIPOC women
• Mothers whose parenting can be described as toxic
• Engaged in individual therapy
• Participants must be at least 25 years of age or older
