Dear 2023,
This year I am not taking any fancy resolutions but rather more functional ones which I know should work for me :

1. Taking one day at a time.
2. Like literally not care about what people think.
3. Making sure to give my best and utmost efforts everyday in whatever I do.
4. Journalling and Practicing gratitude everyday without fail.
5. Be open to fail, change and evolve.

I have no goals to achieve this year, I just want to see if I just give my best where do I land by the end of this year!

Practice makes Progress... Would you agree?
Adhomukha Svanasana also called as Downward Facing Dog
From being the least fav asana, an asana I dreaded to do because I couldn't get the alignment right to now being my one of the most fav asana it's one and only Adhomukha Svanasana.
When I started, because of incorrect alignment it was difficult for me to stay in the asana even for 5 breaths. My hands would slide out, all the weight would shift on to my wrists and the shoulders would feel so heavy.

With the right alignment and understanding of the form, feeling the lightness in my body ; I can now do the asana effortlessly and stay here forever. It's still a work in progress and learning even more about improving this asana...

But as we know Practice makes Progress!!

✨ 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒕 𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒂 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌? ✨

We all have grown up with a notion that taking a vacation or break, is a luxury which we don't deserve because we're not working/earning hard enough yet.
Take that break, because you deserve it.

I love taking breaks every now and then. Have been reading and researching on how breaks and adequate rest is really important for our growth. To be honest, this does make sense when you start implementing. So go ahead and read on!

📌 Sharing some quotes from the book I love, 'The 5am Club' :

⭐ "Your growth happens when you are resting"

⭐ "The best thinking has been done in solitude. The worst has been done in the turmoil."

⭐ "You really must learn how to balance working intensly and brilliantly with deep rest and recovery so you can remain fresh and strong over a long career."

As a yoga teacher I have to listen to too many people complaining about their bodies and how they expect to change their bodies with the help of yoga but are afraid to try something new.

I get too frustrated and irritated but time and again I remind myself that not everybody understands yoga the way I do and I need to keep calm and just make them understand the basic fundamentals of how yoga works with us and our bodies.

🔹 There's always a first time for everything for everyone try it once. It was for me too once. 😊
🔸 Yoga is more than your physical body, more than asanas and Pranayamas ✨
🔹 You don't need to be flexible to practice yoga 😁
🔸 Achieving your goals is not impossible but will surely take time 🤞
🔹 There is no short cut to achieve a goal and you have to have to go through the long process of consistency and efforts
🔸 Keep the goals in mind but surrender it once you get on the mat
🔹 Yoga gives you so many different experiences than just feeling accomplished about achieving a few goals
🔸 It is not religious, though yoga is deep rooted from our Hindu scriptures but it is something that gives you a spiritual experience.
🔹 Strength, flexibility and stability comes with regular practice of yoga and is not an overnight process.
🔸 Investing for your wellbeing is the best investment you'll ever make!
