An awareness program of sign language is being organised in the seminar hall of Faculty of Education BHU at 2:00 pm on 23.09.2022 on the occasion of International Day of Sign Language. All the students are hereby informed to attend the same.

I had demanded Dean of the student officer about Amit Kumar Singh Warden of LBS hostel BHU discrimination against the Deaf students. The Dean of the students officer told me that he would discuss him that same. Hope the Warden should respect the student with Different able at BHU by following RPWD 2016 Act. Our Nsui Bhu team is in supporting the students at BHU to do their needs.

International Week of the Deaf is an initiative of the WFD and was first launched in 1958 in Rome, Italy. It is celebrated annually by the global Deaf Community on the last week of September each year to commemorate the same month the first World Congress of the WFD was held. International Week of the Deaf is celebrated through various activities by the respective Deaf Communities worldwide.

The activities call for participation and involvements of various stakeholders including families, peers, Governmental bodies, professional sign language interpreters and Organisations of persons with disabilities. .in .wale.bhaiya

Today is the 2nd day of the International Week of Deaf 2021

Today 21 September is the second day of the international week of the Deaf. This is today’s theme. It is a form of Deaf leadership that lasts for years in order to support & help the Deaf Community develop. You are all aware that Deaf Communities across the world are flourishing because of Deaf associations guided by Deaf leaders who conduct programmes, lectures and advocacy. The association thrives because of the leader. Without the leader, the association may shut down and the community remains stagnant. Hence, we need Sustainable Deaf Leadership that will keep the community strong. In India we have leaders in sports associations and many other associations. For example, once Deaf children complete their schooling, they are lost in the real world. They then learn from such associations and go ahead in life with the help of such leaders. Whenever a Deaf leader is involved, Deaf individuals will always participate for guidance. This is why Sustainable Deaf Leadership is very important.

Today is the 3RD day of the International Week of Deaf 2021

Today 22 September is the 3rd day of International week of the Deaf (IWD). During these 7 days each day has a special theme. Today’s theme is ‘Sign Languages for all Deaf Learners’ . It means that Sign Language is the native language of all Deaf individuals and it is their human right. Learning sign language from birth from fluent sign language teachers is very important for Deaf children. It helps their brain develop properly and helps them to take part in the society and not remain isolated. Once a Deaf child learns Sign Language, they are able to quickly pick up other spoken languages like Hindi, English etc and help them to read and write as well. 

Currently many Deaf children are born into families where their parents do not use Sign Language. Hence, the government must provide Sign Language courses to such families so that they can learn Sign Language and communicate with their children. Governments must also provide quality teachers fluent in Sign Language so that Deaf children can study well, grasp other languages and achieve their dreams.

We are currently in the middle of the International week of the Deaf and today 23 September is the 4th day! 

As you all may know by now WFD has given a special theme for each day of the week. Today’s theme is - ‘We Sign For Human Rights!’ Deaf Communities, governments, and leaders have been working very hard for years to create awareness about the 200+ Sign Languages across the world and demanding that these Sign languages be made official by governments. Sign Language is the language of the Deaf and is their human right. By ensuring Deaf individuals are given quality education through sign language, accessibility through interpreters, etc. it will help them succeed in life and live independently & proudly. 

Currently many Deaf people depend on hearing family members to communicate, they are not able to make decisions on their own and live an isolated life. Sign Language will change this. So we all should support sign languages as an essential human right for deaf people, and sign for human rights!

India sign language research and training centre has been requested to provide five interpreters to Deaf students BHU. I had a meeting with Dr sanjay kumar chairman of equal opportunity cell BHU on 10 September 2021 at central office BHU. .in

I have discussed with Dr Sanjay Kumar the chairman of equal opportunity cell BHU at Central Office regarding access to the sign language interpreters to the Deaf students of BHU. He told me that he had done a meeting with the Dean of the student, proposed was prepared for sending UGC and Ministry of education Govt of India. I said him that hiring interpreters before reopening BHU. 🙏

It was eager in 1904, Madan Mohan Malviya inauguration his idea of Hindu university at a meeting presided by maharaja Prabhu Narayan Singh King royal Rajput of bananas. The meeting was held in the mint House.

Today is 141 birthday anniversary of Helen Keller who is the famous deafblind in the world.. .in
