The modern Italian language was "born" in Florence thanks to Dante's "Divine Comedy". The comedy was written in the Florentine dialect instead of the common Latin language in which all official documents and works of art were written at that time.
Florence also gave the world outstanding geniuses such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Cellini, Botticelli, Giotto, Machiavelli and Petrarch.

Some info about Venice!
• There are no cars or buses. The role of public transport here is performed by water buses, and taxis are boats and gondolas.
• Venice has about 150 canals connected by 409 bridges. Some channels are so narrow that there is only enough space from side to side of the boat.
