🇮🇹 Avtotheism is an Italian death metal band with sulphuric, atmospheric and dark ambient elements in their sound. Formed in the surroundings of Brescia in 2016, Avtotheism has been moving in the underground disclosing little to no information and releasing a few EPs and singles along the years. In 2021, eventually, the band released their debut album, The Sleeper Awakens, released via the US label Life After Death.

Three years and a long silence later, Avtotheism is back with a new studio record, which will be released via Avantgarde Music‘s death metal division Unorthodox Emanations next October. All relevant information will be shared in due time.

From the creative mind of Ville “V-KhaoZ” Pallonen (Vargrav, Olio Tahtien Takana, Dim Lights, Druadan Forest and many more) a new project is born to walk the streets of rage.

Destro is the latest output from the Finnish multi-instrumentalist and professional composer, a tribute to the days of his youth in a synthwave, neon purple guise.

As Pallonen himself describes it: “Night of Vengeance is a story based in a dystopic and crime-ridden world where a group of people are trying to survive when machines start to come alive and become homicidal. Musically and production-wise, it is strongly inspired by 80s sci-fi and horror movie soundtracks.

On a personal level, the entire Destro concept is a trip down the memory lane to an era that sparked the love for music and storytelling”.

Compared to your usual, flashy retrowave record, Destro comes a bit darker, menacing and desolate than what this genre generally represents, as it is to be expected seen V-KhaoZ’s background.

A very unusual release for Avantgarde Music, Destro’s debut will hit the shelves on CD and cassette and will be available through all digital platforms on September 6th.

From the ever-creating mind of Finnish musician Juuso Peltola (Warmoon Lord, Argenthorns, Old Sorcery, Tenebrarium and many more) comes Oneironaut, a brand new music journey along the German ambient tradition.

Oneironaut can be viewed as a distant cousin of Old Sorcery, spawned beyond a weird horizon, in another dimension alien to sword & sorcery. Slumbering in retro science fiction themes and powered by vintage synthesizers both cosmic and esoteric, Alien Gnosis aims to take the listener to a profound journey through the borders of imagination.

Oneironaut is a new piece in the collaboration between Avantgarde Music and the Finnish artist, expanding towards new galaxies. Adorned with a beautiful painting by Mara Hiltunen, Alien Gnosis is a long, fascinating path through galaxies far, far away…

To be released on CD and cassette on September 6th, 2024.

Vananidr is a black metal band from Stockholm, Sweden, officially born in 2018, but with roots going as far back as the mid ’90s, under the name Hydra. The band underwent several lineup changes along the decades, and in 2010 reformed under the name Synodus Horrenda, a monicker that guitarist and singer Anders “Flame” Eriksson held until 2018, when a new lineup was created under the name Vananidr.

The name Vananidr comes from North mythology and is another name for Njord, one of three Vanir that came to live in Asgard after the warring gods laid down their arms. The four-piece now consists of Anders Eriksson on guitars and vocals, former Amon Amarth drummer Fredrik Andersson on drums, Per Lindström on bass and original Hydra founder Alexis “Titan” Xanthopoulos on guitars. The band has been relentlessy releasing new music, first via Purity Through Fire, then via Black Lion, for the remarkable result of four studio records released in little more than four years.

In 2024, the Swedes chose Avantgarde Music as their new home, through which they will release their new album, scheduled for autumn 2024.
