🤯When I was a teenager, I was a real rebel: my mom had some really hard times with me.
As a grownup, I was so terrified at the idea of going through what my mom had to face because of me that I was sure motherhood was not something for me.

Now that I am a mother, I thank the universe each and every day for having decided to start this amazing (yet challenging) journey and gave birth to the greatest source of happiness and joy: my daughter 💞

That fear of not being able to deal with parenting challenges is still there but I know now that things can be different for us.
During our first , I talked about this with , a parenting coach and dear friend that held a workshop during that retreat and will also be with us during in June 2020.

The words she told me that day enlightened my mind and deeply resonated with my heart: parenting is the most difficult job in the world but there are two things that can help us navigate this journey keeping our kids and ourselves in a place of love, safety, and joy:

1 - Helping our little ones how to deal with their emotions
2 - Building a relationship based on communication and deep connection

As long as we will be able to listen to one another and build a relationship where each of us feels heard and seen for real, we will be able to overcome any difficult moment together.

We are lucky enough to live in a historical phase where we can share and support one another and not being alone in all this.

I am a first-time mum and many times I felt overwhelmed, tired, lost, guilty... especially because most times my husband works also during the weekends and I have to do everything on my own (care for our daughter that is 20 mo, housework, my job,... ). So I was wondering If I could have THREE things that help me feel a little more supported and less alone, what would they be? .
1 - time to reconnect with my self (most times I am so busy and always running that I don't even remember who I am) .
2 - being more present ( and I don't mean only physically) with my daughter. Having the chance to be in the moment with her without thinking of the 1 million things that I have to do the next hour.
3 - a village! I would love to get to know other mums that are going through the same as me and not feel alone in all this. Feel supported and share, learn and grow together

It can be challenging to stop the train of daily occupation, and get out for a moment to connect again to your true self. To stop and listen to your own voice and what it has to say.

Living the life you want is not about changing yourself into a successful person. It is about connecting to who you are already and living your life according to your own truth

When you start to listen to your own heart, not only will you hear your own voice, but you will sense a beautiful richness that you seem to have forgotten. It is the thing you longed for all this time: simply being you. How wonderful to connect again!

Now is the perfect moment to forget who you are supposed to be. To let go of expectations you think other people have of you. To become silent and give room to your authentic, natural being. Give it your love, your attention. Nurture it so it can bloom and grow stronger and become your natural guide in life.

Through yoga, you can come back to yourself. You may feel confused in the beginning: how does your true voice sound? Do you have one? Will it tell you what to do? Isn't it selfish to spend time on yourself? Your voice just may not be used to being listened to, so give it time to speak and come forward.

Oftentimes, we end up sacrificing our own needs and surrender to the stresses of modern life, neglecting to remember who came first. Us.
Only through deep self-nourishment and self-love, we'll be stronger, tougher, more resilient, and more capable of caring for others 😘🌺✨

It’s important to stay relaxed, happy, and healthy, for the sake of ourselves and those around us.

The mystery of motherhood brings with it doubts and fears.

It takes Courage. It takes Freedom.

It happens to live in virtual connections, to never “switch off” from what this world requires from us. As mothers, we are often unconscious victims of a sense of guilt ... the judgment is so strong, that we do not give us the opportunity to experience ourselves differently from being wrong.

We identify with a foreign character; we act hanging in the doubt of those who consider the search for themselves something absurd, confused, dangerous. Remaining prisoners of schemes imposed by others, we continue to repress authentic desires, without even knowing who lives inside us.

The only certainty is what we want to show to others.

We need to rediscover a physical space of connection with our soul, the emotional depth of those who have managed to look inward without fear of searching for themselves, of giving themselves the care they give to their children, to their work, to their husband and to those around them.

We should leave the prison of rationality in which we have to be perfect mothers, efficient women, girls who are always fresh and young.

Let's give us time, let's give us space to make our life a Masterpiece.

A space, an idea, the journey of those who know that, to be happy, you don't have to give up on your TRUE yourself.

We are Elena , Silvia and Nissrine, three working moms dealing with the bittersweet mashup of feelings and thoughts that is motherhood, just like you.

As mothers to kids of different ages, we see how motherhood brings at each stage different challenges: in the early months of the baby, you feel like you don’t know how to find time to do anything for yourself without feeling selfish. At times, you have the feeling of losing who you once were.

The time passes by and you start feeling the need of finding a balance between the three parts of your new self: the mother, the woman and the wife.

As the baby grows up, new questions arise from within: Am I the mom I want to be?
