The app is characterised by video calls available in 4 languages (Italian, German, English, and French), and geolocation. 1. Video calls: The heart of our service is the video call that guarantees both visibility for the companion and prevention for the user. 2. Geolocation: Precise location so that law enforcement can reach the user with maximum precision and speed. We address everyone, regardless of gender, but we are particularly careful to reach women and people who feel vulnerable in certain situations, such as those who have to move alone in the evening or in isolated places. VIOLAWALKHOME was created by the Italian nonprofit organization @donnexstrada with the idea of accompanying anyone afraid on the street through video calls with volunteers. The service turned out to be so necessary that we decided to offer it in other countries as well, thanks to the creation by the founders of V. Srl Italian company that represents the international service with the aim of using more and more technology in the service of the safety of people around the world.
