Aloe Vera and Aloe Arborescens plants have been known for thousands of years and, in recent decades, their extracts have been studied for their beneficial properties 🌿



In this study by the University of Maribor, in Slovenia, we are going to discover the antimicrobial efficacy of the Pure Gel of Aloe Arborescens and Aloe Vera, and not of their standardized extracts, against some species of microorganisms 👨‍🔬

Our project was born in 1997 with Maurizio de Vonderweid, who was subsequently joined by his children Emanuele and Caterina, respectively head of the Commercial and Administrative Area of ​​the company.

The cultivation of Aloe was born with an experimental cultivation of Aloe Arborescens on the windy coast of Trieste, to then be moved a few years later, in 2000, to Sicily, a short distance from the sea, where the ideal climatic conditions and an uncontaminated environment were found for vigorous plant growth 🌿

Subsequently, thanks to the experience gained in the cultivation of Aloe Arborescens, we also started the cultivation of Aloe Vera 👩‍🌾

Started with a small land and a few hundred plants, today we can count 4 hectares cultivated with at least 50,000 plants, guaranteeing us the primacy of the largest Aloe cultivation in Italy 🇮🇹

From these same plants, grown in the open air, we select the best leaves which will then be used in the production of our Food Supplements which are sold worldwide through E-Commerce, Distributors, Wholesalers and Private Labels 🌏 🍀

Aloe Vera is a succulent plant native to North Africa and the Middle East, characterized by dark green leaves, thick and fleshy, and by yellow flowers 🌿

This plant is known for its medicinal properties and its gel or juice is used in several products for skin care, hair care and some disorders on the gastrointestinal tract, as well as being a dietary supplement rich in important micronutrients 💪

Aloe Vera leaves are rarer and more difficult to find than Aloe Vera juice or gel , products commonly found in herbalist shops and pharmacies . However, thanks to the Internet and e-commerce, it is possible to get in touch and buy Aloe Vera leaves from specialized growers 🧑‍🌾

In order to choose where to buy Aloe Vera Leaves, it is very important to evaluate these 2 aspects:

▪️ 𝐓𝐲𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: cultivation in greenhouses with plants in pots, which are easier to develop and maintain, does not allow optimal and vigorous growth of the Aloe plants and in turn the optimal development of the Internal Gel. On the other hand, open-air cultivations , mainly developed in Southern Italy, allow for optimal growth of the plant and its leaves , also demonstrated by scientific studies. We therefore recommend choosing open-air Aloe Vera crops 🌿


▪️ 𝗔𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁: in order for the plant to be considered mature , with the consequence of the optimal development of its active ingredients, the plant must be at least 6/7 years old 🌍

Leaves of Aloe arborescens Mill. are a relevant source of secondary metabolites of pharmaceutical relevance 🌿

In fact, besides exhibiting larger amounts of total polyphenols with respect to other Aloe species like Aloe Vera, the leaves of A. arborescens contain a great deal of active molecules, including complex sugars (among which, acemannan), anthraquinones, lignin, saponins, and others precious compounds 👩‍🔬

Anyway, for a plants to grow at its best, it needs certain environmental conditions 🍃

Thanks to various scientific studies, we know that the growth of these compounds is positively influenced by the amount of sunlight and water that the plant receives. This means that Aloe Arborescens cultivated in greenhouses will tend to be qualitatively lower than Aloe Arborescens plants grown in full sunlight 🌞

Acemannan is a complex polysaccharide found in Aloe Arborescens and Aloe Vera and, thanks to its particular composition, various beneficial properties are attributed to it 🔬

This polysaccharide is used as a remedy for disorders, managing to create a coating along the stomach and intestine walls which are thus protected 👊

Its protective activity on the mucous membranes of the stomach and intestines is very important in cases of and 🫀
