New girl on the block.

Little life and long overdue update because lots of change has happened and it’s about time i made it public since people are randomly finding out and harassing me for not telling them 😅 sorry, i move in silence (literally and figuratively) because I’m officially calling Arizona home again!

Making this decision to move states was truly bittersweet. I’ll forever love, appreciate and hold a special place in my heart for Nebraska as it was home to me for 15 years and is still home to some family, friends that feel like family, even a job that felt like my calling in so many ways but I came to a point in knowing that there’s something else out there that i didn’t feel NE had to offer me. The state motto isn’t “it’s not for everyone” for no reason 😂 but in the very least, i have the privilege in saying that i have 2 homes 🏠❤️✨

I’ll be starting a new job next week in a completely different industry- not fashion related at all, wtf 😂 but I’m so excited to have the opportunity to build a new skill set i never thought I’d ever do and the newness and the mystery of it feels exhilarating! This isn’t all, there’s more updates to come but I can’t share them yet so stay tuned 😜

Just a simple and sweet note to end this on for now, I’m so unbelievably thankful and excited by life and all those who have continued to support me through it, no matter where we are. I really couldn’t have got here without you. Love you all ❤️🙏🏼

It’s been a whole ass minute since I’ve stomped on these grounds but damn, it was necessary!
Those who’ve been following me for awhile know that I’m not the type to be serious and like keeping things fun and light hearted but I’m about to get super real with you.. some would call this “airing out the dirty laundry”.
Being a creative at heart and using this space as an outlet for self expression and sharing things in a place that i could call mine, plus trying to monetize it was a combination of reasons for me posting here as often as i was but it slowly became a space that didn’t feel fun and light hearted anymore. The passion I had in the beginning fizzled out because i forgot about it being A PASSION. I became too distracted with everything else but that. Not to mention, i had myself red-lining for months because all my thoughts, efforts and energy was in IG’s basket. I came to that realization and all i could think about was how ugly was i for that?! No, not physically. Internally. My quality of life was declining, my relationships and my actual job-the thing i was actually getting PAID by in reality, was paying the ultimate price (and my bank account too 🥴) and for what?! And that’s where the problem begins because there was a lot of things I could’ve looked at and been grateful for but because i was unappreciative and lost sight of the good this brought me, i knew it was time to step back and reevaluate the situation. Is this something i could afford to keep up with mentally, physically, monetarily?
LOL nope!
I haven’t given up on the idea of using social media as a place for self expression, I’m just not allowing the pressure this space has once made me feel take over. I’ll post whatever, whenever, wherever i damn well please because that’s the way it should be! I’ve also created so many friendships here on this app and i cannot deny that you guys’ unwavering support has felt like sunshine on the cloudiest days. Thank you for sticking through this with me, i know the ones that are still here are the realest, i owe you! Don’t worry though, I’ll pop in with duck lips, a ✌🏻and a 🍺 every once in awhile! 😘
