“ArT you ready?" is the digital flashmob of cultural heritage promoted by the Italian Ministry of Culture and Tourism aiming to bring together the many citizens who, on these days, all over the world, cannot leave home due to the covid-19 emergency. With hashtags and , everyone is invited to publish the photos taken in museums, archaeological parks, theaters, exhibitions, libraries and archives for the whole day, giving preference to those without people. The digital event will take place on Sunday, 29 March, 2020.
Before, unusual images, such as those of deserted places of culture, protagonists throughout the world of popular social events were known as the Empty Museum today are dramatically significant in this difficult circumstance, and serve to remind us that cultural heritage, although temporarily closed to the public, is alive and represents the soul of our identities. A real photographic flashmob, which will last an entire day.
Whether it's going to fetch the photos stored in the gallery of your smartphone, to open the files and browse photo albums of many years ago or to photograph old black and white images, the day will be a way to collect and share the beauty and uniqueness of our cultural heritage on the web and show it to the whole world. Il Ministero per i beni e per le attività culturali e per il turismo coinvolgerà domenica 29 marzo gli igers italiani che in questi anni hanno partecipato alle call promosse da diversi istituti statali in un grande evento digitale su Instagram. Con gli hashtag e , le comunità igers, gli influencer, ma anche tutti i fotografi professionisti o amatoriali e, naturalmente i visitatori di tutte le generazioni, sono invitati a pubblicare per l'intera giornata le foto realizzate all’interno di musei, parchi archeologici, biblioteche e archivi d’Italia, dando preferenza a quelle prive di persone. Immagini prima inconsuete come quelle dei luoghi della cultura deserti, protagoniste in tutto il mondo dei popolari eventi social noti come Empty Museum, sono oggi drammaticamente attuali in questa difficile circostanza, e servono a ricordare che il patrimonio culturale, sebbene momentaneamente chiuso al pubblico, è vivo e rappresenta l’anima pulsante della nostra identità. Un vero e proprio flashmob fotografico, che durerà un'intera giornata.

Che si tratti di andare a ripescare le foto nella galleria del proprio smartphone, di aprire i cassetti e sfogliare album fotografici di tanti anni fa o di rifotografare vecchie immagini in bianco e nero, la giornata su Instagram sarà un modo per raccogliere e condividere sul web la bellezza e l'unicità del patrimonio culturale italiano e mostrarla al mondo intero.

The Befana is an old woman with a long nose and a sharp chin, who travels on a broom far and wide, and brings gifts to all children on the night between 5 and 6 January, with a heavy sack full of toys, chocolates and candies and a lot of ash and coal. The Befana flies over the roofs and, descending from the chimneys, symbols of the connection between earth and sky, fills the stockings left hanging by the children who prepare for the good old woman a dish with a mandarin or an orange and a glass of wine. The next morning, the children will find the socks full of delights and gifts and the meal eaten with the imprint of the Befana's hand on the ash scattered on the plate. According to legend Three Kings headed for Bethlehem stopped to knock on the door of an elderly lady to ask for directions on the way ahead. After getting the information from the woman, the Three Kings thanked her and invited her to follow them to pay homage to Jesus. The old woman refused and returned to the house but, as soon as the three were gone, she was convinced that she had made a mistake: so she left the house and she looked for the Kings. She wasn't able to find them, so she knocked on every house, leaving gifts for all the children hoping that any of them were really Baby Jesus. And so from that day the old woman continues to travel the streets of the world, distributing sweets and gifts to good children and coal to the most naughty.
