Thanks to my English teacher, I had an opportunity to visit this WhyNot street in Brisbane... What an emotion!

Tall buildings along the river in Brisbane... it reminds me my city Osaka 🥰
(But I must say that it's more beautiful here in Brisbane...🙈)

One of our WhyNot!? Sicily friends, who is studying Spanish, told me that she had decided to ask a Spanish-speaking staff for her drink in Spanish at the wine bar.

【Do you think you are shy?】

As a Japanese, I thought that we, the Japanese, were one of the shiest people in the world … 😂

It was NOT true, of course.

It doesn’t depend on nationality.
It doesn’t depend on race.

It depends on the person.
It depends on the situation.
It depends on one’s background.
..and more.

It is obvious, but I didn’t understand it well before.

Why have I understood now?

Because I joined Language Exchange both in Japan and here in Italy, and I have met many people, who were shy but had 1 % of the courage to do something new.

You never understand until you experience it by yourself.

One of my Italian teachers said:

“A language is not the result of a series of grammar rules, but the result of a culture and a way of life”

IT’S ABSOLUTELY TRUE.

For example:

【How does our Language exchange work?】

It's a piece of cake:

1) Come to the wine bar Casamatta Taormina (Important!)

2) Order your drink🍷

3) Tell the staff that you are here for Language Exchange!

We’ll make some groups depending on the languages available on the day (Italian, English, Spanish, and Japanese are available weekly).

We usually start at 19:30 and you can join/leave when you want. This is an easy-going party 😊
