Guide in Tuscany

Guide in Tuscany

Stories and useful information about Florence and Tuscany written or shared by Eleonora Nucciarelli, I work with groups, families and individual tourists.

My name is Eleonora Nucciarelli and I have been working for years as licensed guide in Tuscany with tourists from all over the world. I guide and organize visits of Florence, Siena, Pisa and other Tuscan destinations in five languages. During my guided tours you can get to know the culture of Tuscany as it developed over the centuries through its history, art, literature, music, kitchen, wines, traditions and everyday life.

21st of February: International Tourist Guide Day🍾

Is there a better way to celebrate the skills of a tourist guide than spending some hours surrounded by precious editions in a XVIII c. library located inside the most visited museum in Italy?

By the way, the 21st of February is my name day as well 😉

How do professional tourist guides spend a winter day in Florence when not giving tours? 🤔

For instance, attending a conference on Eleonora of Toledo. The duchess of Tuscany was the first among the Medici ladies to live in Signoria Palace.🧑🏼‍🎓

I' proud to bear her name😉

The Tree of Peace 🌈

A work donated by Tuscan sculptor Andrea Roggi in September 2021.

The work is located behind Uffizi Gallery and was dedicated to the memory of the five people killed by mafia in Florence in 1993.

❗️A symbol of peace and life,
what humans should pursue today and always...

There is a magic place in the west of Tuscany that surprises children and grownups with Cabinets of Curiosities or skeletons of giant whales!

Guess where is it😉

🏛Villa Bardini in Florence is hosting until the 25th of April a magnificent exhibition dedicated to Galileo Chini, European Symbolism and Art Nouveau at the turn of the XX c.

➡️Along with paintings, engravings and drawings, in the intimate location of the third and fourth floor of the Villa you can be amazed by a large number of elegant vases designed by this great artist born in Florence in 1873.

➡️The ceramics were produced in the furnace of Arte della Ceramica in Florence, later to be moved to Manifattura Fornaci San Lorenzo, in the Mugello territory.

❗️Each piece is unique, the taste in combining shape, design and colours reveals Tuscan creativity at its best😍
