Blown glass as structure

Like ethereal figures of light and reflection, the Angels tables by represent a small interior architecture in which the three pieces that compose them — the base, the top and a bowl — join together to form a world of colours, vibrating in the space of perception.

IRIDE by



Iride is a collection of ashtrays comprised of three different circular models with engravings drawn from the collection of pots, plus one — Iride Cut — with two flat sides and vertical ribbed decoration as if created by a cutting blade.

Realized by alternating bands of glass, coloured and crystal, which form circular patterns that are very clear when viewed from above, ride ashtrays almost resemble an eye formed by the central pupil and coloured iris, from which the collection derives its name.

The circular models, similar in shape, are distinguished by the different finish of the external surface:
— Iride Stripe by horizontal and vertical stripes
— Iride Plissé by horizontal pleating
— Iride Sand by coarse sandblasting.

Iride è una collezione di posacenere composta da tre differenti modelli circolari con incisioni ispirate alla collezione di vasi, più uno — Iride Cut —con due lati piatti e decorazione a costine verticali come se ciò fosse il risultato generato da una lama di taglio. Realizzati alternando levate di vetro, colorato e cristallo, destinate a formare dei disegni circolari molto evidenti se osservati dall’alto, i posacenere Iride sembrano quasi un occhio formato dalla pupilla centrale e l’iride colorata, da cui il nome dell’intera collezione.

I modelli, simili nella forma, si distinguono per la diversa finitura della superficie esterna:
— Iride Stripe da millerighe orizzontali e verticali
— Iride Plissé da una plissettatura orizzontale
— Iride Sand dalla sabbiatura a grana grossa.

Caratterizzato da forme generose i cui lembi superiori sono ripiegati su se stessi e da una spessa base di vetro clear, Mascareta — il cui nome richiama una tipica imbarcazione della laguna di Venezia — è caratterizzato da larghe nastrature incise sulla superficie del vetro, come onde leggere sulla superficie del mare.

Realizzato in vetro di Murano, Mascareta si completa con gli altri manufatti della Collezione Laguna: un insieme composito di forme organiche, vasi dagli ampi volumi, sacchi accartocciati su se stessi il cui colore e lavorazione sono un tributo a Murano e alla laguna che la circonda.

Characterised by generous forms with upper folded edges and a thick clear glass base, Mascareta — the name of which recalls the typical boat of the Venice lagoon — is characterized by thick tape-like engraving on the glass surface, similar to mild waves on the surface of the sea.

Made of Murano glass, Mascareta completes the other artefacts of the Laguna Collection: a composite set of organic forms, apparently imperfect cylinders, voluminous bowls, lavish bags which fold onto themselves, in which the colour and the workmanship represent a tribute to Murano and the lagoon that surrounds it.
