🇮🇹Dettaglio di una singola fase della realizzazione dell’anello “Os Praetoriani.” In questo breve video mi concentro su una singola fase della lavorazione di questo anello. Questo tipo di riparazione è molto frequente, presente nel 90% dei casi, anche in modo predominante. Per risolverli sono necessari interventi di diverso tipo che illustrerò in altri video. I miei anelli presentano geometrie molto complesse, con sottosquadri e piccoli dettagli interni. Questi elementi portano inevitabilmente a diversi problemi durante la fase di fusione a cera persa, come la rottura di microparticelle di gesso nei cilindri, scarti di materiale, ecc. Questo è uno dei principali motivi per cui la produzione industriale non può permettersi questo tipo di lavorazione: ogni minuto in più di produzione riduce il margine di profitto sul prezzo di vendita. Con questo breve reel di 18 secondi c’è un condensato di 4/5 ore di lavoro. Questo è il tempo necessario per portare a termine a mano alla perfezione il mio anello “Medusa”. Senza tediarvi con spiegazioni e innumerevoli difficoltà tecniche, tuttavia facendo un paragone calzante, i lavori a cera persa (soprattutto quelli in stile scultoreo) sono come gli stencil per i tatuatori. Questi ultimi sono replicabili, e anche i soggetti in sé, ma successivamente ci vuole tempo, esperienza e soprattutto mano per ottenere un risultato che non ha niente a che vedere, nel caso orafo, con i prodotti industriali. Tuttavia, se vogliamo andare nello specifico, lo “stencil” orafo, ovvero in questo caso il primissimo anello “Medusa”, ha richiesto circa 70 ore di lavoro per essere disegnato, creato e scolpito nella fase iniziale. 🇬🇧I’m taking advantage of this comment from the ‘know-it-all’ on duty to briefly explain the difficulties behind this piece. 🇮🇹Ringrazio infinitamente questo mio gentilissimo cliente che, oltre ad aver desiderato conoscermi di persona e aver compiuto un lungo “pellegrinaggio” per raggiungermi in studio, ha dimostrato grande pazienza nell’attesa che la sua idea di progetto prendesse forma. L’idea di base di Christian era di creare un gioiello originale e unico: un paranocche di puro valore estetico da realizzarsi su un calco della sua mano che lui stesso aveva reso disponibile. Va da sé che di fronte a tale richiesta la mia mente creativa si è accesa: alla fine, entrambi abbiamo convenuto che l’oggetto dovesse avere un mood da armatura, con tanto di segni di colpi di spada e irregolarità tipiche del ferro consunto e ammaccato sui campi di battaglia. Sono particolarmente fiero del risultato: pur non essendo creato sulla base della mia mano, il paranocche è molto più comodo di quanto potessi aspettarmi e si adatta perfettamente a tutti i movimenti della mano. 🇬🇧I would like to express my deepest gratitude to this incredibly kind client who, in addition to wanting to meet me in person and making a long “pilgrimage” to reach my studio, showed great patience while waiting for his project idea to take shape. Christian’s basic idea was to create an original and unique piece of jewelry: a knuckle guard of purely aesthetic value to be made on a cast of his hand that he himself had made available. It goes without saying that my creative mind was ignited by such a request: in the end, we both agreed that the object should have an armor-like feel, complete with signs of sword blows and the irregularities typical of iron worn and dented on battlefields.
