Here’s some tips to be proud of your mouth and improve your oral health.

1. Visit your dentist 🦷 every 6 months to get a dental exam and screening for dental disease and oral cancers

2. Brush your teeth 🪥 twice daily with a soft toothbrush for at least 2-3 minutes and floss at least once a day.

3. Cut back on sugary foods and drinks 🍹 that can increase your risk of cavities 🦷

Yesterday the Rotaract club of Mandeville visited the Manchester Infirmary and gave the male ward a well needed face lift by repainting the outside of the facility 😀

It was a great day filled with hard work, teamwork, paint, fun, VIBES!

This Labor Day, showed true labor of love ❤️ to our community and I couldn’t be more proud!

From from of this patients smile 😊 everything seemed okay 👌

However, he was developing a big cavity that can be seen from the back of the tooth. He never noticed it until he could actually feel the hole 🕳️ with his tongue 👅

Thankfully, he came in and we left him feeling good as new 😁

After doing an X-ray ☢️ we noticed that her second molar 🦷 had a huge cavity on it and patient decided to extract it.

It’s Dr Reid here and you already know today is Pearly White Wednesday 😁

So I recently had a patient who came in with multiple cavities 🦷 on their front teeth, making them very unhappy ☹️ and uncomfortable 😣 with their smile.

This patient being older wanted to just extract all his teeth 🦷 as he thought it was the right thing to do.

This is just a lesson- EXTRACTION IS NOT THE ONLY TREATMENT TO CAVITIES 🦷 (it’s actually the last resort) and you’re NEVER TOO LATE ⏰ OR TOO OLD to fix your smile 😃

After examination and restorative treatment he is well on his way to restoring his smile 😊

Love helping patients to be feel their best by changing their smile 😃

I’ve hung up my crown 👑 and sash after a whirlwind year of fun memories, tears, joy, stress, giving service, promoting culture, nation building, and growth!

& what a beautiful journey it was to represent my parish Manchester, my island Jamaica 🇯🇲 and myself and be your Miss Jamaica Festival Queen 2021!

I’d like to use this opportunity to publicly thank everyone for being on this journey called life with me over the past year!

I’m ALL about saving smiles and this was one smile transformation that I really enjoyed!

Patient was unhappy ☹️ with appearance of her front teeth 🦷 making her unable to smile as she wanted to!

So I changed her old fillings, replaced her missing tooth 🦷 and TA- DAH 🎉 a new smile 😃 is ready for the world 🌍. Patient was very happy with her results!

✨ People always ask me why I love dentistry, but being able to change someone’s life by improving their smile, getting them out of pain, improving their overall health 😃 is something I’ll never be tired of doing!

It’s Monday 🎉

Today I attended the Jamaica 🇯🇲 Visual Arts Competition and Exhibition where the Central Region had their top visual arts pieces on display for viewing, judging and purchasing!

I got to speak to and encourage so many artists 👨‍🎨 today, some of whom are self taught or first time competitors.

All of the pieces where absolutely beautiful 🤩 from young to old artist, you can see the great talent we have in Jamaica!

If you’re in Manchester, I encourage you to support the art exhibition from now until December 😄 I’m telling you, you won’t regret it!

Today I attended the floral 🌸 tribute for the Rt. Excellent Norman Washington Manley as today is the 129th anniversary of his birth!

Fun fact: Norman Manley is our only national hero who’s born in the BEST PARISH- MANCHESTER 😃🎉

It was a great morning commemorating one of the nations founding fathers.
