The Edgo Atrium Recognized as a Pioneering Green Building

The Edgo Atrium Building was recently recognized at the Honoring Green Building Project event organized by the Jordan Green Building Council (JGBC) to celebrate its 15th anniversary at the King Hussein Club in Amman, Jordan.

The event was opened by the chairman of the JGBC Eng. Abdullah Bdeir and the CEO of the World Green Building Council, Cristina Gamboa and continued with a speech from His Excellency Dr Muawieh Radaideh, the Minister of the Environment.

The Edgo Atrium Building was recognized during the event as a pioneering green building setting standards for sustainability and providing a healthy, green built environment.

With a LEED Gold certification for its environmental sustainability, the Edgo Atrium building is situated in the heart of Amman’s Abdali district. The building’s seamless tenant security includes a facial recognition entry system and a license plate recognition system in its four floors of car parking. The building offers seven floors of office and commercial space as well as the SkyGarden, an extensive roof terrace that is fully furnished and equipped with BBQ facilities.

Get ready to paint October pink at the Edgo Atrium – Abdali Boulevard! Save the date and join us to beat breast cancer

TAKE A STEP FOR LIFE AND RAISE AWARENESS OF BREAST CANCER

Following the success of last year’s events, Pink October will again return to Amman’s Abdali district from 22 – 24 October 2023.

The events, organized by Edgo, in partnership with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF), the Jordan Breast Cancer Program (JBCP) and the Abdali Developers’ Association (ADA) start with a Pink Walk at 10am on Sunday 22 October, where employees of local businesses come together to walk a 1km route from the Edgo Atrium, around the streets of Abdali to show support and raise awareness of the disease. Last year’s events attracted hundreds of participants and many local businesses who supported the walkers with refreshments and gifts.

A number of other events have been organized during the three-day campaign which include:

A pop-up breast examination clinic which will be located at the Edgo Atrium Building on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 October, offering free examinations by staff from the King Hussein Cancer Center

A Hope shop, located in the lobby of the Edgo Atrium Building on Sunday 22 October and in the Abdali Mall on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 October, where gifts can be purchased to support the breast cancer awareness campaign

A Wall of Hope, situated in the lobby of the Edgo Atrium, which will allow tenants of the building and members of the public to make donations to help the fight against breast cancer and add a flower and message to a unique and symbolic ‘Wall of Hope, which will be presented to KHCF during the Pink October events.

“We are pleased to once again partner with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, the Jordan Breast Cancer Program and the Abdali Developers’ Association to bring our community together and raise awareness of breast cancer.

“Last year’s events were a huge success, as well as highlighting the importance of tackling this terrible disease, they made a real difference to lives as a number of cases of breast cancer were diagnosed at the KHCF clinic, enabling patients to seek early treatment.”

The Pink Walk will start at The Edgo Atrium, 1 Rafic Hariri Street, Abdali. Once again this year the Pink October events are made possible by the support of a range of local businesses.

The Edgo Team Visit Al Zahra’a Center on International Women’s Day

To celebrate International Women’s Day, a team from Edgo visited the Al Zahra Center for the Elderly in Amman to give out gifts and spend time with the female residents.

The visit to the Al Zahra’a Center, which provides support and care for seniors who are most in need, was organized as part of the Better Edgo Citizens initiative, supporting the health and wellbeing of those in local communities, as well as Edgo’s employees.

During the visit, the team met a number of the women, heard their stories and the contributions they had made to their local communities. The team were delighted to have been able to celebrate International Women’s Day with such inspirational women.

Earlier today, a fun and action-filled day was had at the Edgo Atrium ‘bring your kids to work day’. The children visited the offices of American Express, Emirates and Edgo, learning about different jobs and taking part in fun activities

Baynouna Move into The Edgo Atrium

The Edgo Atrium Building is delighted to welcome Baynouna as a tenant to the landmark, green building. Baynouna Solar Company was established in 2016 to support the Jordanian government’s pledge to build an environmentally sustainable means of energy production in Jordan, creating new revenue streams for generations to come.
