The stories behind the names of the dive sites in Aqaba, as I remember them from Rod and why he named them. The Seven sisters is either a reference to a group of churches in Liverpool, or a park in London, depends on who is listening. When rod discovered this dive site it reminded him of that, and that is why it is called the Seven sisters. Most dive guides will take you to the fairy ring, and be too lazy to go further 😂🤪, but the seven sisters is actually a little bit further down. In the late 90's an anti air gun was sunk in the shallows south of the entrance to the dive site, we call it the tank. It is one of the really good treasures of Aqaba, divers still commit to Rod's original dive plan, I usually don't to avoid other divers.
