A factory was built in Soka City, Saitama, to deliver the 'famous confectionery of Kyushu' directly to customers in Tokyo. Originally, hiyoko are baked three or four days after baking so that the bean paste and skin are well blended and the balance of flavours is at its optimum. This was the key to "ingenuity". In the new land, the quality is the same in Kyushu as in Tokyo, but the moistness of the texture and the baking colour are Tokyo-like.
