Two ways of expressing plum blossoms in this painting.

I tried to express elegance in this painting. I prefer to use orange colour instead of red colour to give a feeling of warmth. The top white blossoms add a sensation of elegance.

It is a shame that the paper has a folded line🫣. But no worries, it will disappear when I do the framing. The paper will be stretched straight when I glue it onto another piece of paper. The colours will turn more intense, too.

I will make another post when it will be mounted 😀

This East-meets-West project using a different medium finally came to an end. But I will continue in September.

Trying to immortalise my little painting of on wool Gobelin styled tapestry was not easy. The green outline of the petals is too pale. The big painting is to show what I have wished the petal colour should look like. Well, there are other things that I need to improve as well. Nevertheless, the whole process was enjoyable.

Loving another wisteria.

I have not painted for a while due to the exhibition in Normandy, followed by a 2-week vacation. By the way, yesterday I got my pottery pieces back.

I like to experiment with different glazes and apply my Chinese painting technique on my pottery. So, there is always no draft or sketch. All direct on the clay. Each piece is a total surprise.
