For Level:3 we have invited AMODERATE to help curate visuals and splash some Joystick color into the stage.

Amoderate is a visual artist with a passion for immersive audio reactive performances. Usually focused on installations, his recent collaboration with pablo.shibari at Bonobo has opened the door for furthered collaborations in Tokyo’s club scene.

We are excited to host South Korean Househead BEIJO BAE as our first international guest dj for Joystick.

Beijo regards herself as an ambassador for Korea’s ‘Seoulful’ house scene and has been taking her love for Afro-influenced music to new heights in her home city. Her recent sets at Seoul Community Radio’s Hajodaze beach party and The Air House Festival have jolted her presence as an artist, which has allowed her to open new gateways to the house music gospel for Korea’s avid clubbers.

We look forward to having her share her love for afro house music with us and welcoming her to Tokyo for Level:3!

Joystick Tokyo is leveling up once again on Friday, August 25th and for ‘Level:3’ we return to legendary club WOMB in Shibuya to partner with the massive Afro House event ‘Output’, crossing genres and geographies for this one!

Powering up from 23:00 find us up on the 4th floor where we are excited to welcome South Korean Househead ‘BAIJO BAE’ as our special guest bringing her deep and ‘Seoulful’ afro house grooves to Tokyo.

Joining her will be our favorite Joystick residents MARK MILA, VALENCIAGA and AERCK as well as guest Japanese DJ & Producer Duo BNN WKND to deliver a mix of Afro House, Tech House and Minimal Tech Grooves.

Down stairs the main floor is set for a special one with South African electronic dance duo ‘KASUSA’. Their dark and edgy Afro-Tech / Afro-House music has seen them nominated for a number of awards, landed them recognition from the likes of the legendary black coffee and taken them from clubs and festival stages in South Africa to the world.

Also catch performances by Nanami, and Tokyo’s own legendary Afro House DJ and Producer MASANORI MORITA (Studio Apartment) as we celebrate his birthday .

Fresh off his performance at the massive UMF Resistance party, Tokyo Edge House resident DJ & Producer KZMT will be joining us as our special guest in a more intimate vibe at Joystick this Saturday !

Joystick resident valenciaga is back, well he never left.. But expect him to pick up where he left off. Expect nothing less than a sonic serenade as he closes level:2 with some melodic house and techno, just leaving you asking for a little more? No worries level:3 is next ;)

Joystick Tokyo is back Saturday Oct 22nd with ‘Level:2’ and for this installment we are taking it to a dark industrial basement ‘NOTE’,a new intimate venue located in a back alley of Shibuya.

Powering up from 20:00 we are bringing together some of our favorite up-and-coming and resident DJ’s to deliver you some afro house, tech house, and minimal tech sounds.

This month will feature resident Edge House DJ & producer KZMT, along w/ sets by Mark Mila, valenciaga, Aerck, MINT (JPN) and BNN WKND.
