Sip & Support! Sake Sensations for Noto Earthquake
We extend our deepest sympathies to those affected by the earthquake that struck the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture on January 1, 2024. In solidarity with our beloved Noto, we're launching a special tour to support the reconstruction efforts!
"Sip & Support! Sake Sensations" is a special program based on a current best-selling tour at JAPONISME. The experience goes beyond just tasting Japanese sake; it includes learning how to read labels, how to order sake at restaurants, and a personalized touch where the guide, an international sake sommelier, helps you discover the perfect sake based on your preferences.
For this occasion, the tour exclusively features sake from Ishikawa Prefecture.
We will provide support in two stages:
Purchase Ishikawa Prefecture sake currently available to support breweries.
Donate the fees received from guests joining Sake Sensations.
We have carefully selected sake with heartfelt consideration for everyone in Noto and Ishikawa Prefecture. We want to go beyond traditional fundraising and provide support unique to us and hope that experiencing the tour will contribute to supporting Noto.
Details:
* Dates: Jan 31, February 4, 10, 18
* Time: 11:00 - 12:00
* Duration: 60 minutes
* Location: Cup of Tea Ensemble 1F Lobby
* Tour Highlights: Personalized advice on understanding sake preferences from an International Sake Sommelier, a lecture on ordering at Japanese restaurants, and more!
* Language: English
* Tour Fee: 6,600 JPY per person
(All remaining funds, after covering expenses, will be donated to Ishikawa Sake Brewers Association.
* Inquiries and Applications: https://japonisme.jp/in-person-tour/sake-sensations-for-noto/
๐ Special thanks to .takayama for their generous support!
This program was made possible by the compassionate team at Cup of Tea Ensemble, who shared their sympathy for all those affected by the earthquake in the Noto Peninsula. In a heartfelt gesture, they expressed their desire to do something for Noto and graciously offered their space for this special charity event.
