"REMEBER ME WHEN I'M GONE"
130cm x 130cm tryptic
“REMEMBER ME WHEN I’M GONE” creates visual parallels between itself and the recent influx of outsider art that has disrupted the conventions of the art world. The satirically gaudy phrase, “Remember me when I'm gone” operates both as a self referential statement as well as a declarative question to the viewer. The works’ blatant stylistic mimicry contextualizes the outsider art movement through the discourse of “historical digression vs controversial progression.” @ Tokyo, Japan
