THE LAUNCH OF AN AIR QUALITY SENSOR AT SAINTS
An air quality sensor is a device used to measure and monitor the quality of air in a given environment. It is designed to detect and measure various pollutants and contaminants present in the air, such as particulate matter, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and ozone (O3).

The sensor works by using various technologies and sensors to analyze the air composition and identify the presence and concentration of different pollutants. These sensors may include optical sensors, electrochemical sensors, and gas sensors, among others.

Once the sensor detects the pollutants, it provides real-time data and readings, which can be displayed on a screen or transmitted wirelessly to a connected device or system. This allows users to monitor the air quality and make informed decisions regarding their health and well-being.

Air quality sensors are widely used in various settings, including homes, offices, schools, and industrial facilities. They are especially important in urban areas where air pollution levels can be high due to traffic emissions, industrial activities, and other sources.

By continuously monitoring the air quality, these sensors help raise awareness about the potential health risks associated with poor air quality. They also enable individuals and organizations to take appropriate actions, such as improving ventilation, reducing pollutant sources, or wearing protective masks when necessary.

Being one of its kind in this region, saints has opened its doors once again to the world as a safe tourist destination, with Iten identified as one of the world's high altitude training centers.

Thanks to the Saints administration and the partnership with Rita foundation with like minded well wishers: this place has always given the opportunity for young minds to explore, innovate and re-invent great ideas.

ITEN CHEMISTRY CONTEST (ICC)
It has been yet another eventful day for Saints to hold the 6th Edition of ITEN CHEMISTRY PRACTICAL CONTEST 2023, one of it kind Nationally. This contest is a brain child of Mr Kimeu, a former CHEMISTRY teacher. The Practical is objectively ment to assist in improving manipulation, Observation and information synthesis and application. Creativity and innovation in problem solving is very significant in this test.
A total of 30 schools took part in the contest with a population of 970 students. Saints emerged in pole position with Moi girls Eldoret and Tambach following closely. The best overall student from Moi Girls Eldoret scored 22.5 out of 30 points with position 2 and 3 students from Saints who scored 22 out of 30 points.

TEMBEA ITEN SAINTS.
This KWS approved site has a rare history of St. Patrick's School right from its incarnation to date, alongside the culture of the greater part of MARAKWET and KEIYO Communities. The interesting site is the WALL OF FAME that gives you a glimpse into Saints dominance in athletics, volleyball 🏐 and Basketball 🏀. These achievements steers our emerging talents in Academic and Co-curricular. Kindly pay a visit to this amazing place 🙏.

A LEGENDARY ICON who lives among us, a man whose memories lingers in many who've gone through his hands, beautiful memories you can't ignore. The few whose lives is a testament of his sacrifice to Excellence in all Endeavors.
Brother Colm O'Connell is an Irish missionary and athletics coach, known as "the Godfather of Kenyan running" originally from Caherduggan Ireland. He joined the Patrician Brothers at the age of 14, training in Tullow, County Carlow,[2] and went on to study at National University of Ireland in Galway, formerly University College Galway. He spent two years in Patrician Secondary School, Newbridge before departing Ireland for the Great Rift Valley in Kenya in 1976 to teach geography at St. Patrick's High School in Iten, Keiyo District, Rift Valley Province in Kenya. Today, he has 120 training camps and is known as "the Godfather of Kenyan running". His work with the youth has included track and field training. Twenty five of his students have gone on to become world champions, and four have won Olympic gold medals.[3]

His students include Edna Kiplagat, Florence Kiplagat, Lornah Kiplagat, Linet Masai, Mary Keitany, Ibrahim Kipkemboi Hussein, Peter Rono, Matthew Birir, Sammy Tirop, Haron Lagat, Janeth Jepkosgei, Viola Kibiwott, Brimin Kipruto, Joseph Tengelei, Isaac Songok, Wilson Boit, Vivian Cheruiyot, Michael Kipyego, Augustine Kiprono Choge, Wilson Kipketer and David Rudisha. O'Connell is credited in starting the influx of female athletes to Iten in the early 1990s when he trained and hosted World Champion Sally Barsosio, Rose Cheruiyot and world junior champion Lydia Cheromei.[citation needed]

In 2001, O'Connell was awarded an honorary MA from NUI Galway for his services to Africa and to Athletics.[citation needed] Credit to his work as a coach is covered in "the 'Man on a Mission' - O'Connell and the rise of Kenyan Athletics" by Jamie D'Alton and Anne McLoughlin documentary.
In 2012, O'Connell was awarded an honorary doctorate by Dublin City University. Olympic and World Champion David Rudisha joined him on the trip to Ireland, visiting Galway, Mallow and Newbridge.
O'Connell was awarded an Irish Presidential Distinguished Service Award for Arts, Culture & Sport in 2021. He has served our Community as a classroom teacher, a principal, currently a Board member of St. Patrick's Iten and a school mentor. Thanks Colm👍👍🙏🙏

Did you see 👀 him around recently? He is the Brazil 🇧🇷 Ambassador. A simple man right from the dress code without too much beurocracy. He visited the school courtesy of Bro Colm, just to appreciate what he does in the field of sports and athletics. A very humble person.

Great mathematician minds around 👌 😉 👏 😜. Apart from hosting the 36th Iten Maths Contest (IMC) The Saints have competitively participated in Kapsabet Maths Contest and emerged position 3 overall. In Tambach Contest, the Saints swept the board in all categories.

Saints is a center for ACADEMIC excellence, Sports and Talents as well as spiritual development. As we endeavor to pursue these objectives we implore each one of you to hold hands with us in pursuing this agenda
