The biggest liability is yesterday's ideas!
December 1937 as Chelsea FC battled Charlton FC at Stanford Bridge Stadium in London, the match was stopped and abandoned at the 60th minute due to a heavy fog. Unfortunately, the Charlton FC legendary goalkeeper, Sam Bartram remained unaware and kept guarding the goal post for another fifteen minutes after the match was stopped.
He didn't hear the referee's whistle because of the crowd behind him. He stood at the goal with his arms outstretched and completely focused in the fog so as not to be caught unawares as he thought his teammates were attacking the opponents goal.
Fifteen minutes after the match was abandoned, he was approached by the Stadium Police and informed the match had been stopped fifteen minutes earlier. Sam Bartram said these famous great words with great sorrow. "HOW SAD THAT MY FRIENDS FORGOT ME WHEN I WAS GUARDING THEIR GATE." There are many players in the field of Life whose Goal we defend with enthusiasm and Support, but when the situation become a wave of fog, they leave us behind.
Forget the past; embrace the future and the possibilities it presents. Have a great week.

Everyone, even without examining much, will tell you that the protests after the finance bill are not organic.
Whereas the above statement is true, it is also true that both protest point out to a broken system.
Summary of the first protests(pre Finance bill rejection):
They were organic and spontaneous. The people of Kenya, especially the younger generation came out in large numbers to air out their frustration about a government that won't listen.
Today in Kenya, public hospitals are in a mess, the free education isn't free, NHIF is dead, and SHIF is mysterious. Workers are under paid. While doctors are leaving the streets to go back to hospitals, Clinical officers are starting their strike. JSS teachers are striking. Passports and identify cards are a tall order to acquire. Service delivery government offices is the worst. The list is endless.
While all above are a reality, the president is ever travelling, with very little information out here about the proceeds. The same president is promising more punitive tax reforms.Cabinet secretaries are politicking. The legislature is controlled by the executive.Justice in the Judiciary takes forever to be delivered, if at all it is delivered.
In the recent past, the following events have rattled the public;Tax increase, Fake Fertilizer (esp the fact thatbLinturi is still in office) , numerous President's travels (US trip being the icing) , and Finally the finance bill.
President Ruto built a lot of in young people. He promised them jobs. He promises the low and middle class many goodies, much of which haven't been delivered, if anything the opposite has happened.
At the receiving end of all this frustrations, is a president who doesn't seem to have a cabinet or even other junior staff. It is him who reports everything about government. He appears to be the only defender of the KK government. His deputy is also almost giving up!
The finance bill was just an excuse!
What next:
The president shouldn't be the only person communicating government policy. Let relevant ministries take charge. Sack those incompetent ministers ASAP!
The government should reduce its expenditure, and stop and punish corruption.Reduce those hefty salaries and allowances at the top.
Service delivery to wananchi should be enhanced, passports,ID, Hospitals, police stations e.t.c
Let government services be delivered deliberately, effectively, efficifiently and truly. Impact must be real.
Failure to do that, this country will see bigger organic maamdamanos.
About current maandamano, watu waache ushenzi.
