I put no trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory;
but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame.
In God we make our boast all day long, and we will praise your name forever.
Night shift gang 😀😴
2024 will definitely be better. I'm convinced.
The lord is our strength, our pillar, everything we have
We're grateful.
That's my baby sister btw 🥰
I wish people understood how damn bad it feels when you are told "aki umenona or umekoda". Like where do you even have the guts to say that, especially when you do not know what people are battling out here. It's even worse when you say that to a woman who just gave birth.
Sometimes it's just safer to keep those comments to yourself to protect the other person.
When it comes to weight gain or extreme weight loss, definitely the person must be working on correcting that. If you have to comment, do that nicely.
The previous year has been one of the best years I've ever had. And I tell myself this, it can only get better.
I wish myself pire happiness, joy, peace and more achievements.
I'm the birthday girl 🎉
How d'you feel when you know that someone believes in you? You feel encouraged to keep working on your dreams, right?
Well, having faith in people and letting them know that you always acknowledge what they can do motivates them to work even harder. Walk with me through the 4th episode as we learn how having faith in people helps you to become a positive influencer. Don't forget to subscribe.

Today we were looking at Integrity, which is the foundation of becoming a person of influence. In this 2nd episode, we learn that integrity is an inside job, and that you can only grow your character once you make a choice to do so. The need for integrity today is as great as it has ever been. Dishonest people are everywhere, and systems, government organisations are full of people who do not embrace integrity.
Integrity is not to be confused with reputation. A good reputation is a reflection of the person's character. If reputation is like gold, then integrity is like owning a mine. If you take care of your character, reputation will take care of itself.
Lastly, don't do what you wouldn't feel comfortable reading about in a newspaper the next day.

Books review with Joan: Becoming a person of influence
A while ago, I was struggling with issues like poor time management, emotional intelligence, and at some point, low self esteem. I was encouraged by a friend to read books on various topics that I needed to improve on. I'm glad that so far, I've read over 30 books that have made me a better person today.
Allow me to share some few things that I've learnt so far from the book, becoming a person of influence by John C. Maxwell.
Levels of influence
1. Level 1: Modelling
At this level, a more influential person introduces you to the masses. For some time, you influence people because a person that they look up to has introduced you to them. As soon as they spend time with you, you either build or bust your influence, depending on your actions or behavior.
2. Level 2: Motivating
During this level, you encourage people and communicate with them at an emotional level. when people feel good about you and themselves when they're around you, your level of influence increases significantly.
3. Level 3: Mentoring
During this level, you pour out your life into other people by helping them reach their full potential.
Level 4: Multiplying
It takes unselfishness, generosity and commitment to reach this level. It also takes time. As a multiplying influencer, you help people become positive influencers. In short, you mentor mentors 😀.
What level are you currently? I've compiled these lessons on some videos that I've uploaded on YouTube Nyakio.
Remember, we're inspired to inspire.
let's grow together.

Some of us didn't grow up surrounded by role models and examples of the life we would like to build when we grow up. Rather, we grew up surrounded by examples of what we didn't want to become. We grew up seeing mismanagement and failure.
We weren't given inspiration. We were given warnings. Nobody spoke to us, real life situations did. Poverty became our motivational speaker.
So, excuse us if we seem self-motivated. Understand us if we don't wait for other people to cheer us up. We understand that there are other people who had someone clapping for them, and so they need validation to get going. But for us, we had to clap for ourselves.
We may work with teams and cooperate with friends when we need to, but we carry our inspiration with us. We know what can go wrong if we slack and lose focus. And we know how to keep going even when there is no audience to cheer or someone to pat our back.
For us, fulfilment is personal, and being acknowledged is only a privilege. This is why we appreciate earnestly when we have someone in our corner because we know the alternative. We have been alone in our grind, and we know that not everyone cares. We understand the sacrifice of love, and we never take it for granted.
When you have tasted life without support, you become prepared to both survive on your own and to cooperate perfectly with another because you know the pain of the alternative.
In short, we build because we've seen destruction. We love because we've been unloved. And we stay because we've been abandoned. Working for us is not a burden but a divine privilege. Whether we're working at our job or at our relationships, we've seen people who didn't put in the work, and we suffered the consequences.

Every day is a learning day. And so today I learned about the impostor syndrome.
Impostor syndrome, also known as impostor phenomenon or impostorism, is a psychological occurrence in which people doubt their skills, talents, or accomplishments and have a persistent internalized fear of being exposed as frauds. Despite external evidence of their competence, those experiencing this phenomenon do not believe they deserve their success or luck. They may incorrectly attribute it to the Matthew effect or the Dunning–Kruger effect, or they may think that they are deceiving others because they feel as if they are not as intelligent as they outwardly portray themselves to be. Impostor syndrome can stem from and result in strained personal relationships and can hinder individuals from achieving their full potential in their fields of interest.
Bottom line is, believe in yourself. Celebrate yourself daily for the small steps you make. It's actually you. You've done it and you are capable of doing even more.
The kind of surprises we're enjoying this year.
I'm a happy gal. To many more achievements.
One day we'll tell our story. Smiling girls. I'm proud to have you as my family.
Even a sign step forward matters. Don't let anyone, especially those that don't know your story, intimidate you.

Should a Man Trust His Wife or His Mother With His Wealth?
Your mother cannot be the custodian of your wealth when you're grown up and married. You should just stay single and enjoy your life with your mother. You wouldn't like it if your daughter married a surrogate like that, so why drag another person's daughter to it? Marriage requires two people, not three. And unless you're a boy or a re**rd, why do you need to hide your things? And not from thieves but from a person you have chosen yourself?
I withheld my comments about the millionaire footballer and his wife after I realized that the facts of the story were not adding up or at least not yet confirmed. None of the three parties in the story had been given a chance to confirm or rebut the allegations, or rather I hadn't seen such confirmation yet,and the reference to the court informing the wife about the footballer's 'clever move' was impossible because it was clear the case was still at filing stage. In short, there are still many unknowns.
Nevertheless, the issue has brought debate as to whether it's okay for men to 'hide' their properties with their mothers. Did the guy 'outwit' his wife by registering all his assets in his mother's name?
Is it so easy to defraud one's partner anyway, or could an astute lawyer simply argue for deception? If they were formally married, wasn't he transferring marital property to a third party without the consent of his wife, and so the said transfers should be declared irregular and void? The legal points can only be examined under the laws of that jurisdiction, of course. These are just wide guesses.
So, if a man has fears about his wife's intentions or character, is it okay if he secures his wealth with his mother?
First of all, you shouldn't marry or stay married to a person you can not trust. You're being dishonest, and you're wasting your own life. The moment you realize that you're not safe with a person, you ought to set them free. You can not continue consuming their time when there is no longer love between you. That's a contradiction and it will come back to you in one way or other.
Also, if you fear for your wealth because of a person, shouldn't you fear for your life too?
If nobody abducted you to marry a person, it's absurd to start acting like a victim. You chose the union and you can terminate it any time you decide without playing games. (copied)
In short, if you can't trust her, please don't marry her. Stay single.
