All the people are African. away from their everyday life.
The original settlers were the Nubian people from the Kenyan/Sudanese border β they now occupy about 15% of Kibera, are mostly Muslim and are also mostly shack owners. The other shack owners are mostly Kikuyu (the majority tribe in Nairobi) β although in most cases they do not live there but are absentee landlords. The majority of the tenants are Luo, Luhya and some Kamba β these people are from t
The rainy walk
We are saddened by one of fire incidents in Kibera that has left families and residents of Soweto East nursing wounds from injuries after a fire accident last night and loss of properties.
We invite any well wishers to visit and come to the aid of families that have been left homeless and lost almost everything to the fire.

Empowering change, one plate at a time. Amidst the challenges, we stand united, bringing light to the darkest corners. In the heart of the slum, hope finds its voice, echoing through the laughter of children nourished with care and compassion. Together, we rewrite the narrative of hunger, paving the way for a brighter tomorrow.

STREET THEATRE FAMILY , the Ambassadors of Change, had the distinct honor of spearheading the Share My Dignity Pad Drive. This monumental event was graced by the presence of Chief Officer of Health, Nairobi City County, Hon Geoffrey Mosiria . It was a true collaboration, bringing together all key stakeholders from the five vibrant wards of Kibra Constituency - Lindi, Laini Saba, Sarangombe, Makina, and Woodley.
The setting for this transformative event was none other than the Skyrope Social Hall in Lindi Ward. The turnout was simply incredible, featuring a diverse array of individuals, each passionate about our shared mission. Among the attendees were talented artists, young mothers, teenagers, courageous reformers who've triumphed over drugs and crime, devoted parents, wise elders, individuals living with disabilities, dedicated teachers, and many more.
Your presence and unwavering support breathed life into this initiative, making it a resounding success. Street Theatre Family is immensely grateful for your commitment to change, empowerment, and a brighter future for our community. Together, as true ambassadors of change, we've created a momentous impact that will be remembered for years to come.
A mark of price for our independence, we paid the price and today we need to embrace each other with a smile of heroes. Dear Kenyans, we have come a long way, we are not yet there but for the little wins of our oneness allow us to call you shujaa.

The "Share My Dignity" is a crucial initiative that not only addresses a pressing health issue but also aligns with the UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATION SDGs, particularly those related to health, education, gender equality, and reduced inequalities. By promoting access to sanitary pads and menstrual hygiene education, this project contributes to a more equitable and healthy future for women and girls in underserved communities

"Sometimes we live our houses not look for anything bigger but just a meal for the day and with this inflation rate, things are not getting better for us, wish someone and government would intervene because we are really feeling the pain down here.
