What is Hyperpigmentation?

Hyperpigmentation is when patches of your skin become darker than the surrounding area.

What causes hyperpigmentation?

Hyperpigmentation is caused by the body's overproduction of melanin. 

When UV rays hit our naked skin, the body goes on overdrive in the production of melanin which is responsible for protecting us from UV rays damage... melanin being the dark pigmentation then causes darker patches on the areas where it's deposited…

Other causes of hyperpigmentation include:

 ** Hormonal changes

 ** Inflammation
