IMPROVEMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCE AT COAST GENERAL TEACHING AND REFERRAL HOSPITAL.
The Health Committee led by our caucus member, Hon. Benard Ogutu alongside Hon. Jacktone Madialo, Hon. Frankline Makanga Hosanna and Hon. Leyla Nyache were part of an enhanced dialogue meant to improve our county health facilities.

We share the vision of our beloved Governor H.E Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir.

DESIGNATION OF SMOKING ZONES

There are no designated areas or zones for smoking in Mombasa County, as mentioned by one of our caucus members Hon. Frankline Makanga 'Hosanna', MCA Chaani Ward.

He emphasized on the need to set aside special areas for the smokers, noting that smoking in public can contribute to air pollution and also cause fire disaster.
The Assembly resolved that the County Government should:

1. Provide designated smoking zones, clearly marked and able to provide safe and comfortable space for the smokers.

2. Ensure that the zones are regularly maintained and monitored for hygiene and safety, such that any litter should be disposed off in the proper receptacles and all smoking materials should be extinguished.

3. Come up with smoking policy and any other regulation to ensure that both the smokers and non-smokers rights are not infringed.

We strongly support the motion and we'd wish the same be extended as soon as possible to our areas, being Mombasa West, Changamwe and Jomvu Constituencies.

Today we joined the people of Changamwe Sub-county for a public Participation forum on the Finance Bill, 2022 which went through the first reading on 16th December 2022.
Led by the Chairman Finance, Budget and Appropriation Committee Hon. Kibwana Swaleh Baya, the residents had an opportunity to interrogate the issues presented in the bill and voice their concerns.

This is Pursuant to Article 196 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

As Mombasa West Legislative Caucus members, this was an opportunity for reaffirmation that we will work together to ensure service is delivered accordingly to our people.
Our Caucus is well guided and we believe our Agenda for the two Sub-counties we hail from are achievable.
