You know what sucks as a mentor to developers?
I've seen people spend a huge amount of time learning coding skills but then they never feel like theyโre ready to make an income.
Iโve seen colleagues spend in that headspace. You fall into debt learning computer science in college and spend all your money on courses on Udemy.
There are only two possible outcomes with that timeline:
๐you never get a job and have tons of debt (worst case)
๐you are extremely underpaid (best case)
Because you STILL aren't actively learning the soft skills that teach you how to become profitable.
That way, you STILL donโt figure out how to actually make an income as a developer.
I get it. I was there. Sometimes, I would post a question on Stackoverflow ever-so-slightly wrong, and some bored-ass nerd would troll me.
They can actively try pulling at your legs, stopping you from getting out of your bucket, so you stay down there with them and rot.
It CAN be a pretentious, pseudo-intellectual community at times. But it can also be a pretty awesome one.
If you prefer awesome, join Me, Naz, and hundreds of other developers from around the world at the 3-Day LIVE ๐ดReact Workshop

Hello ๐ fan, hope you're doing great.
I had to inform you on the following info.
Please read the following updates carefully.
A lot of people are asking me, how do I see the future of coding?
What's gonna happen 10 years from now?
Well, here is my answer..
The future of coding...It's gonna be a lot of NO code.
Well, here is my answer..
The future of coding...It's gonna be a lot of NO code.
A lot of the things that currently require you to write code ... well, a lot of that is actually going to go towards no code instead.
So if you actually type in on Google... "no code apps", or "no code", you'll get all these tools and apps that allow you to build things... but without any actual code.
And it's very exciting 'cos you can put together a lot of the things that you dream about, and without knowing a single line of coding.
So I see that happening more and more.
I mean, right now they're working on this GPT-3 A.I. project.
Literally you could type in "I want an app with two buttons, a navigation bar and a footer... and it should be able to allow you to like login your workout... and like like log in and out of the app" and then as soon as you type in and hit that sentence...
AND IT MAKES THE APP FOR YOU ๐ฑ
It's geniusly nuts.
That level of AI is NUTS!
It's super fascinating, and I imagine that a lot of the world is gonna be going towards there.
Now, the question is ... is there still any benefit to coding?
Well I'd ask you ... is there a benefit to somebody knowing how to be a heart surgeon, even though there are like nano bots coming in to perform surgery?
Hell yes!
You still need doctors!
The doctors will now still need to know "doctor skills" to be able to operate with the machine, and use it on actual human beings,
Even with "no code" apps, you still need to KNOW coding.
Also, what if things break down?
Or you need to add in additional functionality that's not "cookie cutter" and out of the box... then you'll need to build that out custom.
Even with the A.I. apps happening, or when there is a lot of automation happening and people thing we'll need no coding... I still think you're going to need coding..
It's just not going to be you sitting there typing out EVERY single thing like it's been in the past.
Remember there was assembly and a lot of the people were using programming at the machine level.... writing 0s and 1s?
A lot of that has been abstracted, and I think is going to get abstracted even more.
Coding is an extremely valuable skill to learn, and really it's going to COMPLEMENT what happens in the future.
So you STILL need to know programming.
It's the future.
And that's how I see coding in the next 10 years.
Hit me up here on the comment section, and let us know what YOU think about the future of coding.
