We have all read a story where a child on graduation day hands the degree to their parents with the statement, "I have studied the course you wanted me to persue, here is your degree, now let me follow my career path" We know of strained relationships between children and parents because a parent wants to be a lawyer or a doctor through their children

When Nyari went to secondary school we only put pressure on her to get good grades and be disciplined. When the time to choose subject clusters came nikaskia, "daddy buy me a guitar" nikasema fine nikauliza Kwani... Oh I am doing music in school... As parents we vowed to support her fully so that she doesn't have to go through life doing things she doesn't enjoy just to satisfy our egos or settle scores. We also added if she changes her mind and wants to become a doctor, we will chaperon her in that direction full swing.
Here she was among the first to recieve me from stage on Friday night and I got one of the best hugs... Anyway we went to the concert together partly because she is a student of music and I want to give her the best practical exposure I can.
