As promised earlier, while am on a sabbatical leave from politics, my energy is fully focused on philanthropic work and fully dedicated to positively impacting lives especially to those needy and urgent cases that get on my way. It was sad to meet this lady past midnight with her 1 year old baby on their way home from hustling. She told me that after tirelessly working for over 12 hours, she only gets paid Ksh. 200. Since the money couldn't sustain all her needs, she chose to walk all the way from Mtwapa to Kanamai with the cold weather and insecurity. Lakini as from tomorrow, she will have a new job at one of my homes in Mombasa. She will be the Head chef for all my staffs at the home and I'll pay her double the salary she has been receiving at her job. I also gave her a small token to help her out with basic needs as she prepares herself for the new job. Let's always remember to be our brothers keeper watu wangu.
