Kenya is home to 3 types of Giraffes out of the 9 above which exist in the World. The Reticulated Giraffe also know as the Somali giraffe is found in the Northern Kenya, Somali and Southern of Ethiopia. It is a subspecies of giraffe native to the Horn of Africa. It's coat consists of large, polygonal, liver-colored spots outlined by a network of bright white lines. You can find this type in Samburu.

The Masai giraffe also Called Kilimanjaro giraffe is the largest subspecies of giraffe. It is native to East Africa. Can be found in the Central,Southern Kenya and in Tanzania. It has distinctive, irregular, jagged, star-like blotches which extend to the hooves. You can find this type of giraffe in Amboseli, Maasai Mara and in Serengeti Tanzania.

The Rothschild Giraffe is one of the Most endangered distinct population of Giraffe's. This giraffe is easily distinguishable from the other subspecies. Most obvious sign is in the coloring of the coat or pelt.It was named after the Tring Museum's founder Walter Rothschild and is also known as the Baringo Giraffe, after the Lake baringo in Kenya. Rothschild giraffe closely resembles the Masai giraffe. However, the ecotype is paler, Orange-brown patches are less jagged and sharp in shape.

The Grevy's Zebra, also known as the imperial zebra is the Largest living wild equid and the largest of the three species of Zebra, the other two being The Plain Zebra& the Mountain Zebra. Compared with other zebras, It is tall, has large ears and has a stripe pattern as Unique as a human fingerprint.
Today, Grevy Zebras are Africa's most Endangered large mammal and can now only be found in Northern Kenya, Southern and Eastern Ethiopia. 🇰🇪
