Understand typography
You'll likely conduct an online search or consult with friends or family when you initially start looking for land to purchase. You won't be able to see the actual undeveloped land to get a sense of the neighborhood.
A great feature of Google Earth allows you to visualize and examine the area you want to invest in.

What amenities does the property have?
The availability—or absence—of utilities like water and electricity is a significant factor to consider before purchasing undeveloped land. The seller has already put these in place on the property in some places.

Are There Riparian Areas There?
You've probably seen or heard tragic tales about residents who lost their homes to flooding during the rainy season because they lived close to a river or water stream.
