Hypocrisy at its peak, Kiipchumba Murkomen's call for a lifestyle audit

It's laughable and ridiculous to see Kipchumba Murkomen, a man who became a billionaire overnight, call for a lifestyle audit. This is a clear case of the pot calling the kettle black. How can someone who has amassed wealth under questionable circumstances have the moral authority to lecture Kenyans on financial integrity?

Kenyans are not fools. We see through the hypocrisy of leaders like Murkomen, who, instead of addressing their own dubious wealth accumulation, try to shift the spotlight onto others. A man who imports boxers from Italy and France should never presume to teach us about lifestyle audits. His extravagant lifestyle is a stark contrast to the hardships faced by ordinary Kenyans.

Murkomen, it's time to face reality. Your words carry no meaning when your actions tell a completely different story. Kenyans want you to lead by example, not to preach what you cannot practice. Mr President should start with those who shout the loudest about it.

-President William Ruto has appointed a taskforce to conduct a forensic audit of Kenya's public debt. The Taskforce is expected to table its report within three months.

-47 overlapping institutions in various ministries will be closed to reduce on expenditure.

-The number of advisers in government shall be reduced by 50% within the public service

-The decision to fill the positions of Chief Administrative Secretaries (CAS) is suspended

-Purchase of new motor vehicles in govt suspended for 12 months, except for security agencies.

-The government will hire JSS teachers and medical interns.

- Ruto suspends non-essential travel for govt workers

-President Ruto has banned all state officers and public servants from participating in public contributions or Harambees

-The offices of spouses, Rachel Ruto, Dorcas Rigathi and Tessy Mudavadi will not receive budget.

-The number of government advisors within the public service shall be reduced by 50%.

-Renovation budget across government facilities reduced by 50% as well as Confidential budget removed

-Government to borrow money to fund milk stabilisation programme, revivie stalled projects across the country and fertiliser subsidy programme, settling debts owed to coffee farmers, enabling public-owned sugar mills to pay debts to sugarcane farmers.

- Govt to look for Additional funding for the higher education new funding model, Settling arrears owed to counties and the NG-CDF & Settling arrears for pensions.

-Government will propose abudget cut of Ksh 177 billion to National assembly and borrow the difference

-Public servants who have retired yet still serving to proceed to retirement immediately.
