Many have many dreams rested, many delayed and nearly none manifested. Never loosing hope and never despising small beginnings is what keeps us afloat. We tend to lose focus when what we thought would become rests and alternatives bounce.
That's where we start going astray, further from our true north.
Seeking for what seems to materialize as fast as we wish or think, surprise says hello, when still, that gets to rest.
The blind leading the visioned
Cripples leading the walking
The deaf hearing, what listeners won't hear
The dead full of life
The living lifeless .
The cost of being the real you is walking alone.
No one will ever want to associate themselves with you in your realist personality.
You won't bend towards their scope.
We're here now.
Quiet Quitters.
That day, I hit the road. Stopped over at a place, less known to me. I head to the bar, one for the road. Dim lights kept the bar less lit, enough for one to have a look at their favourite liquor.
"A daniels for me." The barman smiles at me. Miles he's. He seemed always smiley, pouring into those glasses.
Smooth rock music, airing. The jukebox was much alive.
A sip and a rock. Smooth. There she comes smiling at me. Amory. She looked nice, nicer, i don't know. 19 she looked like. Dim lights luring. A sip after another, coy. Happened so fast. Sunlight with regards. Was morning already. Little memories, Amory beside me. A short story. Agh.........
Margaritas, Jack Daniels or any other whiskey.

You might be having your way of handling your burgage. Your way of spending leisure.
You'll see him sip and smile. Apparently not to you. But the taste and the feel is good and tongue soothing.
He's there for a reason or another. Not getting over Molly, the girl from the city mall they just broke up a month ago.
But having a good time with the bottle and glass.
You'll see Joe sipping. Wearing a long sad face. His mustache complaining.
He's not in his usual company of Nandy. The girl he met at the same joint. The Nandy he made fun with.

Benjamin calling for shot after shot. His crypto ain't swelling well enough. But he got some coins to shout in the bar.
Sip sip sip.

Human beings are of four types:
1. A man who knows, and knows that he knows. This is the scholar, so take and patiently learn from him.
2. A man who knows, but does not know that he knows. This one has forgotten, so quietly remind him.
3. A man who does not know, and knows that he does not know. This one is a student, so teach him continuously because he will be a great scholar one day.
4. A man who does not know, and does not know that he does not know and isnโt even interested in knowing. This one is an idiot, so reject him".

Success without failure is nothing.
Insightful
Finished reading Yuval Noah's, Sapiens recently. It took me over a month to finish. I found it to be a slow read but eye-opening in certain aspects. Here are five principles that stood out to me.
1. What is natural and what isn't? Nothing is unnatural otherwise the world wouldn't facilitate its existence. i.e. A human being can't photosynthesize.
2: What powers our society? The foundation of human societies is imagined structures. Myths and fiction make us think in a certain way from birth and help sustain the social order.
3: Will we destroy the earth with our hubris? Nature cannot be destroyed, only changed. i.e. The dinosaur-wiping asteroid did not destroy nature, it only paved the way for mammals.
4: What is a successful species? The success of a species is measured by how quickly it can reproduce, but perhaps a more important metric would be happiness. Which, we can't say with certainty if modern human beings are happier than the foraging ones.
5: What's next for human beings? The question we must ask is: What do we want to become?โBeyond powerful, irresponsible, and dissatisfied?
Siring perfects males.
But perfects
We just came around
We happened, to be , I don't know.
Eyes locked, hearts beat
You talked
I listened
I talked you listened.
Under the skies
We gazed at the constellations
Made fun counting
Crazy....
In the rain we played, danced , enjoyed
In the mud we played, stained
Candidly these memories are.
Now that we don't,
Have heart beats
Like zombies we stare
We talk silently to selves
With the moonlight peeping through
The windows we both shattered.
Now that our cuddles are as cool as death
Our voices harsh as stings
Our beats faint
Visions blurry
Not us
Who are we?
Someone here is telling me it's 5 o'clock somewhere. Where is that
๐
The world.
Imagine a world so dark.
No light at all.
No constellations you camp outside to watch.
No moon, no sun
No eclipse.
Imagine a world with no water.
No oceans.
No seas, lakes and rivers.
No springs
A world with no cloud cover.
With a damn scorching sun.
And not a drop to quench your thirst.
Imagine a word with no green cover.
A world with no trees
No grass. No nothing.
Soils, dust and rocks.
Imagine a world with no animals.
No pets, no wildlife.
A world with nothing.
No humans.
A world with no science, no technology
A totally dead world.
Imagine everything you see and know became extinct overnight.
The world.
Dear exes.
We're grateful for the moments we had. Cherished and not. They were all amazing.
Again if we never came to know you, we wouldn't have found ourselves.
Thank you for seeing that we couldn't be.
Thank you for the moments you gave us benefits of doubt, knowing very well in heart that you were just passerbys.
Looking for the right time to have us shambled.
Thank you for the nights you had us coiled, hugging our pillows a mid sobs.
Thank you for giving us room to have ourselves the future we couldn't have together.
We're happy for you. Your endeavors seem to be flourishing. Sorry for the curses we called on you.
We admit we were mad at you.
We're mad no more. We're making peace with the fact that you or we had to leave . We don't feel smitten any longer.
We can now shake hands ๐๐
I've known people. I've been known to people. Not so many I guess. I've known some in their best faces.
Some in their worst.
I've fallen in love with people. As people has fallen in love with me. Silently maybe. I can't tell.
I've been broken.
By the same people that I thought loved me.
By the people I had given all of me to.
I've made people feel broken too. People I thought I loved as well those who I loved dearly.
I've been to places.
Places that have not been to me or could not have been to me, if they could perhaps.
I've heard and seen things, worth and not worth. I've been through many, as well, many have been through me.
I've done and said things, proud and not proud of at the same time. Thing's have been said and done to me.
Proof that I've lived.
You're your own mountain.
There's nothing too difficult for you if you have the right motivation.
Setbacks will always happen.
But your endurance pays you to the next step.
Anytime you're walking, your step forward is a reward that the other foot didn't tire holding you up in balance.
Things do happen to us, expectedly or not.
They just happen to us , so that we can embrace the fact that we're living.
Coz if they don't happen, means we're dead or something.
