Eco-Bana emerges the overall winner and brings home Kshs 120,000,000.

St. Paul’s University students have won Kshs 120,000,000 Hult Prize in the 2022 Global Finals in New York City, USA.

The students pitched their innovation, “Eco-Bana”, a social enterprise that manufactures biodegradable, hygienic and affordable sanitary pads from banana fibre.

The innovation seeks to end period poverty, create better job opportunities, solve sustainable development goals, generate revenue and offer a safer household environment.
