TOPIC: THE POWER OF
FAITH
STUDY TEXT: HEBREWS 11: 1-3.

The Bible shows us what faith actually is and the power in it.
*What is faith?*
1. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. That is, what have not gotten into our hands, but we have assurance that it will come to us, that we have it already.
2. Faith is the evidence of things not seen. What we are expecting, which is not in our hands, but we talk with faith that we have got it.
A man of faith does not talk like a hopeless person; he wouldn't talk as if it has ended for him; he doesn't talk like a person already swallowed by battles. But he will speak with assurance, as if he has seen what he is looking for.
Faith is very powerful such that without it we can't please God (verse 6). We cannot be following God yet have no assurance in his power. There is nothing God cannot do, nothing pass His power and the might of His hands
>> Faith has power to move mountains (Luke 11:22-23
>> Faith makes prayer to be answered.
>> Faith moves the hand of God into actions of power.
>> Faith is the key of meaningful relationship with God.
Stir up your faith in the Lord. Have assurance in Him; put your face upon Him. Put your mind on Him for all things and in all things. Don't allow your faith to become weak, there is power in faith.
