Good Morning...😊😊 After my brother Ben Smart retiring from Politics, he is now venturing in Pumpkin farming. We had a lengthy discussion with him yesterday and he shared his vision. He is coming up with a Pumpkin project in his ward ( Rugi Ward in Mukurwe-ini constituency) where he had done a research together with experts in Agriculture. He will start distributing Improved Pumpkins Seeds to groups as the first step then he is intending to open a Pumpkin Cottage Industry in Kabuta. The company will be processing Pumpkin Unga.

Sr Blessed Irene Nyaatha Shrine in Gikondi Catholic Parish, Mukurwe-ini Constituency, Nyeri County.

The Italian-born nun who moved to Gikondi in Nyeri county where locals recognized her love and compassion for them and nicknamed her “Nyaatha”, which means ‘Merciful Mother.” She died in Kenya in October 1930 after contracting a disease from a patient she was caring for. She died at an age of 39 yrs.

HISTORIANS.
Detention centre (Jela) and currently it's a Secondary School, MWERU SECONDARY SCHOOL IN MUKURWE-INI CONSTITUENCY. The structure is still there, it's kind of a historic site. By then, it was called MÙTHAIGA PRISON.

The head of Mûthaiga prison was MR BOELl . Inmates constructed the bridge at Kabuta (Thaara market) across river Rûaraî that connects Nyeri and Mûrang'a. Sometimes they could walk from prison to the construction site. Later the bridge was named after the prison head BOEL in local language MBOHERO up to date..
