Exactly One Year Ago, Agape Smiles was officially registered as a Community Based Organization.

It has been a successful inaugural year of positively impacting our communities.

𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽

The free medical camp at Githuya Dispensary in Maragua was a huge success. More than 287 residents of Githuya area in Ichagaki ward received free medical checkup and treatment.

Special appreciation to Rotaract Club of Thika, Healcrest Hospital, Murang'a County Government, Githuya Dispensary, and the many Rotaract/Rotary Clubs that attended - the collective effort was hugely impactful to the community.

𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽

In collaboration with @𝑹𝒐𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕 𝑪𝒍𝒖𝒃 𝒐𝒇 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒌𝒂 and other partners, will take part in a Free Medical Camp that will take place on 26th March 2022 at Githuya Dispensary, Maragua, Murang'a County.

Yesterday, in collaboration with Young Life Kenya , we conducted a mentorship session at Jamhuri Primary School that targeted the class 8 (KCPE) candidates. The goal was to motivate them to be optimistic and also to prepare them for life after primary school.

Pupils have to participate in school sports to increase their confidence, mental alertness, and self-esteem, as well as learn leadership, patience, team effort, and social skills.

In partnership with Rotaract Club of Thika , Rotaract Club of MKU Thika, and Rotaract Club of Thika Technical - we will "𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝑱𝒂𝒎𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒊 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍'𝒔 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝑮𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔-𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒚" by clearing the ground, installing football goal posts, and marking the playing field.

We will also donate soccer balls, which will be used in an upcoming sports day organised by - all of which will kick-start a sports culture in the school.

Term 2 is already here, and is keen to continue feeding school-going kids at Jamhuri Primary School in Thika.
