BOMET VETERINARY DIRECTOR ARRESTED FOR HOLDING HOSTAGE TWO UNDERAGE GIRLS

A veterinary director in the county government of Bomet is in police custody for allegedly booking two underage girls in a guest house over the Easter holiday.
The suspect, a senior veterinary officer in Chepalungu sub-county, was arrested by police after a relative of one of the girls reported the matter to the police station.
The victims are day scholars in a public secondary school in Konoin sub-county and were allegedly picked up by the suspect and locked up for days in a guest house in the Litein area during the long Easter holiday.
According to Bomet central sub-county police boss Musa Omar, the DCI are handling the case and are looking for more information about the guest house where the two girls were being held and also to check records from the institution where the two are alleged to be in form two.
The two girls have been taken for medical examination at Longisa county referral hospital.
