Dear God

Sometimes life becomes too complicated and all you need is just to let it flow, because God still controls everything.

Lord,

I pray you would move the Spirit more boldly in my life. I know that any sin can grieve and diminish the voice of the Spirit, and I pray against the temptation to sin. Help me crave your presence more than I crave sin. Help me grow in the fruit of the Spirit and so walk closer with Yourself. I pray for guidance from your Spirit — let your will and promises always be a meditation of my heart.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for your unconditional love and mercy that you have bestowed upon us. We know that without you, we are nothing, and we seek your guidance and direction in our lives. Lord, please heal our broken hearts and grant us peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray for those who are going through a difficult time, and we ask that you grant them strength and comfort during their time of need.

Lord, we pray for the world at large, that in these trying times, you will soften the hearts of humanity and bring about peace, love, and unity. We pray for the leaders of the world, that they will be guided by your wisdom and will seek your divine direction in all their decisions.

We ask that you continue to protect and provide for your children around the world. We are grateful for the gift of salvation through your son, Jesus Christ. Help us to be obedient to your calling and to lead lives that glorify you. We pray all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.

God Hath Spoken

“God, Who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son”—Heb. 1:1-2.

GOD HATH SPOKEN! Do we realize the importance and magnitude of these words? Perhaps we are so accustomed to handling the Word of God—the WORD OF GOD—that we grow careless in our thoughts concerning it. It is like many things in our lives which, because of familiarity, we incline to take for granted. We speak to one another day by day. We speak to one another by way of exhortation and encouragement — and we feel the warmth and nearness of personal association.

We must—in the things of the Spirit—come to feel this same personal affinity and relationship to our Heavenly Father. We must realize that He is everywhere present and, as our Father, is ever near to watch, guide and protect our steps.

This frame of mind—of ever-present divine communion and envelopment—can only be arrived at by a constant application to the words God has spoken. We can only make the Creator personal to our thoughts and actions by hearing His words. And this is the family feeling He wants us to possess:
"Beloved, NOW are we the Sons of God!" (1 John 3:2).

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
