My uncle preached this past Sunday and he said something so profound. “You can’t ask God for more and remain the same.” Ufff….(you can’t remain the same…..)

It leads to the question, “Are you willing to die to self to receive more from God?”

Scripture says, ”Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.“
‭‭Matthew‬ 16:24

We can draw closer to God by feasting on His word. Recuperating our hunger and passion for God.

Lord, whatever has caused a distance between you and I. My prayer is that you remove it in the mighty name of Jesus. I pray that I will go deeper in you. Lord I pray that I will walk side-by-side with you in this season in obedience. I pray that my faith will increase as I look to you for all things. I pray that you deal with the weaknesses in my life and I surrender them all to you. I want to walk and sit with you, Lord, drawing closer. Your word says that the steps of the righteous man are ordered by God. So Lord order my steps, direct me and remind me what is required of me each day. I pray this and seal it with the blood of Jesus. Amen.

You are good beyond measure, Lord! ❤️

During my healing process I discovered I was a people pleaser. Yes, me. I would engage in activities I really didn’t want to because I didn’t want to be disliked. Terrible. I know. But it was my truth at one time. I can recall a conversation I was having with one of my mentors. I was complaining about how I thought I could be perceived. And she said, “Myra! It doesn’t matter what people think about you. What matters is what God thinks about you. Are you pleasing the Lord? “ Then that’s all that matters.”

As I go through life now. I measure my actions against, “Am I pleasing the Lord”?

Lord, I pray that You guide me all the days of my life. I pray that I honor in all that I do. Sacrificing the flesh and living in the spirit. Increase my love and devotion for Your word so all that I do is pleasing in your sight.

I pray this in Jesus name.

Amen.

Last Saturday, December 30, 2023, some of the girls and I had a Prayer Board get together. We sat down in a circle and we prayed together. Then we talked about what is Purity. The white rose was used as an example to symbolize purity. Unblemished.

Although we are imperfect humans. We are called to have pure hearts.

The Bible says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8). God calls us to love, be kind, and have a pure heart. It seeks to honor God in all things. This is living in accordance with God's moral standards.

We talked about how can we meet the expectations of how to live pure lives before God.

By drawing near to God through His Son Jesus and in obedience to His Word, you humble yourself and walk in the strength of the Holy Spirit. You are not strong, wise, or godly enough to pursue purity on your own. Pure living follows purity of heart, and this is only possible with God's help.

Scripture says,

My granddaughter was christened last night. It was so beautiful to witness my Sister Love being presented unto God. Hearing the promises spoken over her life. Witnessing the parents, God parents and leaders promise to always be there for her was nothing short of amazing! God is such a good God, and he is perfect and all his ways. Thank you Lord for covering my family and always being with us. ❤️🙏🏼❤️‍🔥
