Reminder for everyone!

It's not enough to think that we can achieve/do things, we need to believe that we already have it. Because at the end of the day, it all starts with our mindset.

Gratitude is being aware of and thankful for the good things you have.

Being grateful helps us increase happiness, improved physical health, reduced depression and etc. I believed that we should be thankful for the things we have, may it small or big.

I was one of the people who thinks that all I learned from school is enough for me to land a job. So when it comes to creating my resume and cover letter, I just stick to what I already have learned.

I kept on applying for job opportunities but no one responded. I thought that I wasn't good enough. Until I discovered that I need to change something. I discovered that my cover letter should attract the hiring manager.

That's when I learned about the strategies on how to write winning cover letters to land an interview.

This is something I wish that someone had taught me. That's why I wish to help those professionals so they can plan an interview to their dream job.

For all those who seek growth in their career, what's stopping you from achieving it?

Building connections within and across industries can be accomplished through networking, but it can be challenging. Here are some mistakes to avoid when networking.

1. SIMPLY WASTING TIME ON USELESS INFORMATION

The person you're speaking to might occasionally go on and on with details. Allow the person to continue speaking if it is important and relevant. If not, refocus the topic. You can say you don't want to take up too much of their time and then ask another question that you want an answer to after letting the other person finish their point.

2. ASKING FOR A JOB

The purpose of networking is to build relationships, not to immediately land a job. In many cases, your network can help you land a job, but only after you've built and strengthened your connections. Utilize your networking opportunities to find out more about the person you're speaking to, learn about their career, make additional contacts, and ask for guidance.

3. FAILING TO FOLLOW UP

Sending a message to check in every now and then will keep your relationships lively and memorable. This could be a thank you note following a meeting, an update on your progress based on suggestions from the connection, a relevant article on news or happenings in the industry, a word of congratulations following a significant event in that person's life, and so forth.

These are just a few of the many mistakes that you have to avoid. Remember that networking is building relationship and is a two-way street.

Why should you care about building a network?

Building connections could be the key to taking your career to the next level.

Networking helps you meet new people. You get the chance to exchange ideas, share common interests, and boost your confidence just to name a few.

This kind of relationship is mutual. You both benefit from each other. And this applies to your career.

For example, I am looking for a Marketing Expert, and the first thing that will come to mind are those people I know. If I happen to know you, why would I look for someone else?

Your network could also recommend you to their network.

You can find a networking opportunity everywhere, whether in an elevator, a grocery store checkout line, or a coffee shop. No matter where you are, try to learn something new and be open to interacting with new people.

Hey, there 👋! Thought might share this with you.

Just like everyone else, I set up my goals early this year. One of these goals is to start a membership program. I have been able to outline the membership program. And right now I am working to launch the program soon.

I know that it is far from finished yet. However, just me starting and working on it is already a big win for me.

You see, to start taking action is already a win. Don't be discouraged if you haven't yet, you can still start now.

Hopefully, I will be able to share the output of this project of mine with you soon ☺️😉

Today, I want to take a pause for a minute and encourage those who have been struggling to land their dream job. Don’t give up. The best is yet to come.

If you are waiting for the right opportunity to land in your lap, WORK on something while waiting.

Here are some of the tips that you can do so waiting doesn’t feel like hell:

1. Maximize the opportunities you already have

Make the most of your time. If an opportunity comes your way, be ready to accept it. Remember, every opportunity is a new experience. And in every experience, there is new learning.

2. Get close to opportunities that are beyond your comfort zone

Why? Because that’s how you grow. That is how you add value to yourself.

3. Market Yourself

No matter how good you are, you still need to advertise yourself. Inform them of your identity and your abilities. Be confident. Have faith in yourself. You've worked incredibly hard to relearn and learn new things.

As you wait, by doing productive things that can improve your life and you as a person, you are working towards your dream.

If your answer to these questions is YES, that's awesome, praise yourself for a job well done. KEEP IT UP 💪💪

However, if your answer is NO, don't worry, you've still got time to accomplish the goals you've set for this year. BUT you have to start NOW.

What are you waiting for? Stop delaying your success. Start taking ACTION right away. Make your next six months be your best six months.
