From August 31st 2024 - September 9th 2024 I am completely out of office enjoying my personal family vacation with my husband and children.

On the agenda?
•Staycation at my home away from home; the Grand Floridian.
•Quick half park days with just mama & her littlest!
•4 night sailing aboard the Disney Wish
•Universal Orlando Resort; staying at Portofino Bay Hotel; visiting all three parks & Halloween Horror Nights!

Normally I work while on my trips - but this is our family vacation and now more than ever as my oldest has entered high school I am clinging on to as much family memory making time as possible.

Otherwise - all non urgent matters will be responded to once I’m back in office.

Amazing news - Sandals Emerald Bay will be closing to guests this month in order to be completely transformed into a Beaches Resort!

This new Beaches resort will offer expanded family-friendly activities, enhanced kid and teen clubs, a splash deck and a variety of dining options! It is going to be absolutely incredible.

We do not {yet} have an opening date for Beaches Exuma, but when we do, it will be announced here so make sure you are following my page!

❔❓ Did You Know ; Travel Advisors often work without getting paid❓❔

Your travel advisor only gets paid once your travel is completed, crazy right?!

There is $0.00 given to them for spending time quoting your trip(s), modifying your trip, offering up advice or finding that perfect fit for your vacation, unless you actually book the trip with them and complete the vacation.

So if you book a trip with an advisor and then cancel, all of that work was done with no compensation. ((And don’t get my wrong here. We totally know life happens!))

Or when you reach out for quotes & advice and then book your trip direct or with another agent you do that person a major disservice and it is so disheartening.

Oh, and fun fact, the cost of a travel advisor is already included in your travel costs - so if you DONT book with a travel agent - your paying for something you aren’t using, which isn’t any fun!

Travel advisors are only successful if amazing individuals reach out and book & complete their travel with them.

We love you all so much - and want you to have absolutely epic vacations, your support means the absolute world to us (way more than it does to direct booking engines or other means of booking travel)

And if you are someone who loves to take charge of their own trips, that’s cool too! You can still book with a travel advisor and receive their support, resources, and advice. (Some of my best clients have me book their trips and then do everything themselves).

Let’s have a real & raw chat about buying your travel where you buy your toilet paper 🧻

Look - I’m a budget girlie. I love a good deal, a good perk, a savings wherever I can get it. BUT. Does something ever seem to good to be true? Because odds are, it probably is.

Let’s set the stage :

You’re taking your family on a big vacation, it’s an investment. You price it out directly with a travel agent - and then check your local bulk toilet paper supplier (ya know the one where you can grab 80 rolls of toilet paper, vitamins, a diamond, a hot dog, and a life’s supply of granola bars in one fell swoop?) and you can save $500-$1,000 on the trip - sounds great right?

No. Wrong. And I’m not saying this as a travel agent - I’m saying this as a human being who wants to see people treated properly with their travel investments.

You see - these stores provide you zero support.
God forbid you need to modify or cancel - I really hope you read that cancellation policy closely because it’s kind of scary. (I urge you to look at what they did to their clients during COVID)

They won’t be there to teach you the ins and outs of the destination, and if it’s a theme park destination that’s a necessity! Things are always drastically changing! In fact, they won’t be there to answer the phone and help you at all. They deal in bulk.

They aren’t going to reserve your impossible to get dining experiences, navigate you through travel, help you If your flight is delayed or cancelled - there are SO many red flags 🚩!

Also - I book your travel directly with suppliers. So if deals release I easily apply those without you even having to ask (as long as your trip qualifies) in the case of booking with a big box store / you are not booked directly (which is a whole other case of issues!)

I know savings are appealing - but sometimes it’s not worth it and what you wind up saving in the long term is your peace of mind.

Also - small plug - I am a small business owner. I pride myself on an individualized approach to travel, my clients are given an individualized itinerary full of tips and tricks, I’m there for them 1000% from booking until well after they come home. You guys are my travel family.

So whether it be with me (I’d be happier than a bird with a French fry) or another travel advisor, please consider booking with an agent. Most agents either don’t charge anything for their ample services they provide or charge a small fee depending on their structure and I promise you mean more to them than you ever will to the TP dealer down the road 🧻

The “W” fam arrived to Universal Orlando today and hit the ground running at Cabana Bay! Resort day before parks is my favorite way to spend check in!

The kiddos said “This is the best place EVER, thank you for bringing us here!!!” To mom & dad and that right there is why I love my job so stinkin much!

She even sent me a photo of their •stocked• kitchenette in their family suite thanks to a grocery delivery!

Well on top of support a small business and having a lifeline to planning your trip and someone there for you the entire time you're gone - this is just a preview of something I do for my clients--

Clients had a layover that was delayed - thanks to my software I use with my clients their itinerary notified me immediately that they were delayed - I was able to check in with them, adjust their evening reservations, and notify their transportation. THEN when the flights got back on track a bit later, I was able to make further adjustments -- and they didn't have to do a thing but relax at the airport and get ready to fly to Disney!

They will be setting sail aboard the Grand Princess for 7 Day Inside Passage Alaskan Cruise with Princess Cruise Line!
