THE FOURTH EDITION OF EAST, CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN AFRICA SHIPPING & FREIGHT LOGISTICS FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT (ECSAFOT), KENYA CHAPTER, 11th NOVEMBER 2023.
Presenting the fourth edition of the East, Central and Southern Africa Shipping & Freight Logistics Football Tournament (ECSAFOT) planned to take place on 11th November 2023 at Mombasa Sports Club from 8 am to 5 pm.
The previous edition held in November 2022 at Mombasa Sports Club, hosted giant corporate teams from the Shipping and Maritime industry that included Kenya Ports Authority, ISCOS Secretariat, Northern Corridor Transit And Transport Coordination Authority (NCTTCA), MAERSK Line, Uganda Revenue Authority, Portside Freighters, Inspectorate East Africa, Express Shipping Ltd, Auto-Ports Freight, CEVA Logistics, and Auto-Ports Freight.
We congratulate Kenya Ports Authority for emerging CHAMPIONS of ECSAFOT 2022. We also applaud ISCOS Secretariat and CEVA Logistics for emerging as first runners-up and second runners-up representatively. We furthermore congratulate Uganda Revenue Authority for winning the Corporate Social Responsibility Award and NCTTCA for winning the Sustainable Development Goals Award. The Inclusivity and Diversity Award also remarkably went to Express Shipping Logistics. We also take this opportunity to appreciate our previous sponsors, Kenya Ports Authority, Northern Corridor Transit and Transport Coordination Authority, and ISOCS Secretariat. Additionally, we extend appreciation to all the participating teams. It was a great show of teamwork within the industry.
As you may appreciate, the world continues to use football as an excellent tool for achieving different agendas and driving various initiatives and campaigns. The ECSAFOT tournament, therefore, aims at offering participating institutions, an informal platform to enhance collaboration and connectivity among themselves. The rules of the ECSAFOT games require that employers of the registered institutions, both female and male engage each other in a non-professional football tournament, followed by an Awards ceremony, dinner and a networking session.
Call to register your team using the contacts on the poster.

Sports managers should be good motivators!
Sports managers need to exude energy, show tremendous enthusiasm and love to work with people. They need to be great motivators. Sport organisations generally need lots of volunteers and the sport manager needs to enthusiastically approach people and recruit them to do voluntary work.
They also need to be enthusiastic in dealing with the general public and the regular stream of enquiries about the organisation and its programs. Therefore good communication skills is a necessary attribute of the sport manager.

Uganda's AFCON hosting debate
AFCON 2027: The hosting debate Our struggle to be listed among the great hosts of AFCON might be overly ambitious but nothing is impossible until we give up.
