Real talk:

I am a chronic skin picker. I have picked my skin consciously since I was 10 years old. I have tried countless creams and acne treatments to try and minimize the outbreaks on my face and arms, but nothing ever worked.

I've only recently figured out that perhaps I'm not as acne prone as I thought. The marks on my body are self inflicted. Popping one pimple can lead to a painful picking session that ends with red welts covering my face, arms, chest, and legs. I've spent countless hours mindlessly searching my body for signs of imperfections to scratch and dig away at.

I've noticed positive results after switching to a vegan skin care line. It's so important to give my skin some love after a bad picking session. One product in particular has been life saving. The BE PURIFIED Cold Charcoal mask has a unique cooling blend that soothes my sore face, and provides deep cleansing to help flush out the bacteria I (most likely) introduced into my pores.

I still have a long way to go. Switching out my tweezers and tools for sensory fidget toys isn't exactly easy, but progress is progress. Having a line of products that nourish my skin and make me feel good has been such a big help. If you made it through this, congrats 🎉
