I honestly just wanna say something that I haven’t been able to in a long time.

I’m happy.

I’ve gone through so much to get here and I’m so grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to be where I am today. I’m happy that I joined Monat, happy that I am able to explore my life without abuse holding me back, and I’m happy that I can finally start living my life the way I want.

But I’m also sad.

I had to leave MY FAMILY to be happy. I had to leave my mom - who was supposed to build me up, but instead broke me down - and my dad who was my biggest supporter. And let’s not forget my grandpa and 4 sisters. I only had my dad and grandpa on my side in that house and if I stayed any longer I wouldn’t be here today. I would’ve made a dumb, reckless decision that would’ve hurt everyone around me. And that’s just sad. I’m sad that that was the reason I had to go. I’m sad that in order to love myself and continue living was to let go of the most important people in my life.

As I sit here wiring this, crying sad and happy tears, I know I made the right decision. Because if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t be where I am today: successful, happy and proud of who I’ve become.

When we were on the way to the cabin! It was a beautiful scenery and I wish I would’ve gotten a picture of the ice cream cone I got. It was as big as my head!

I felt proud of myself today. Not just in the way I look or act, but in the way I’ve grown and changed over the past five months. Emotional trauma and physical pain made me want to give up, to give in.

I decided that ‘hell no’ was the only answer to that so here I am: a strong, independent young woman who has much more to see and to give. I’m not ready to back down. I’m ready to stand up and be the woman I’m meant to be. I’ll succeed and you’ll feel sorry you ever crossed me.

It’s work time guys! I haven’t been in a really good state of mind the past few days and seeing the success of others made me feel like I’d never make it.

But that all stops now.

I’m ready to fight for my goals and dreams and say ‘I’ll pass them one day’ rather than say ‘I’ll never be like them’. I’m ready to take control of my life and make it how I want it to be. I’m ready for my life to truly begin.
