☑️Colic is a condition that affects healthy babies and is marked by hours of crying or fussing
✔️usually begins 3-4 weeks after birth and may worsen between 6-8weeks but resolves between 3-4 months
✔️The cry is normally more than 3 hours a day at least 3 times a week and more than 3 weeks

SYMPTOMS
✓ intense prolonged crying which is normally around the same time of the day mostly late afternoon or in the evening from a few minutes to hours

✓sleeping difficulties where the baby sleeps irregularly and also awakens crying

✓screaming with fist clenched,back arched and drawn up knees and tight stomach muscles

✓your baby may stop feeding to cry then go back to feeding

CAUSES
☑️The cause is not clearly known but there are several associated factor:
1. overstimulation

2. Protein in the mothers milk especially from consuming the dairy products

3. Smoking during pregnancy
